Broaddus has said numerous times through the years they view looney as a center only and can not play guard.

also they carried redmond on the roster all this time and recently cut him and then this happens.

Almost all of his college starts where at left guard and prior to signing with the cowboys he had more NFL time at guard then center. Not only that when he was our center he was the one making the adjustments/calls to the left guard (lol).

Yes he was a guard. I have no idea why whoever told broaddus this told broaddus this. Looney's first year here he was the third tight end in the jumbo three tight end sets. For some reason they think he can not play guard.

I imagine in a pinch they would put him there in a game if they had to.
