Think the Eagles win the NFCE and Dallas ends up picking 15th

Resignings
Dak Prescott QB
Amari Cooper WR
Michael Bennett DL
Anthony Brown CB
Joe Thomas LB

Tenders
Blake Jarwin TE
Antwuan Woods
Cooper Rush

FA
Sign Jordan Phillips DT BUF
Consistent pass rushing 3T for the Bills 8 sacks. With Bills drafting Oliver, Phillips is most likely headed to FA.
Sign Logan Ryan CB TEN
This team needs a veteran Leader, they're already very young. Ryan knows how to win matchups and his physical.

Round 1
Isaiah Simmons SS Clemson
He has no set position as he plays SS and WILL. But he doesnt have the size to play LB in the nfl. Hes tall so his 225 is slim. Dallas can use him the same way they used Church. Except he has the speed and coverage skills Church never had. Would make this secondary better from Day one.

Round 2(trade back into the end of the first)
Curtis Weaver DE Boise State
Very productive, nice size too. Uses his hands very good, and is always the first guy off the snap. His first step is crazy fast. Never stops. Reminds me of a healthy Lawrence with his pursuit.

Round 4
KJ Hill Jr WR Ohio State
Is the prototypical slot WR, he can take it to the house on any play. If Meyer becomes coach this would be a no brainer for the team as Cobb most likely is not being brought back and there really isnt anybody on the team that you could feel comfortable with stepping in.

Round 5
Ezra Cleveland OT Boise State
Athletic and probably would fill the Swing tackle spot. Has good footwork, and could develop into the next starting LT.

Round 7
L'Jarius Sneed CB LA Tech
Good size for CB who could make a nice ST player.

Okay, first the positives.

Love most of your re-signings. Joe Thomas has quietly had a really good year for Dallas.

Jordan Phillips and Logan Ryan are sneaky-good free agent signings.

Your first two draft picks are home runs.

Now, what I hate.
Anthony Brown CB
Please God no. I want no part of keeping him.
Cooper Rush
No thanks. Worst #2 QB in the league. You have to upgrade there.

Your day 3 picks don't do anything for me. KJ Hill maybe but we have a similar player under contract (Devin Smith) who they can't seem to figure out how to use.

Overall, if the defense added Jordan Phillips, Logan Ryan, Isaiah Simmons, and Curtis Weaver the Cowboys are a much better team.

It's the strongest QB draft we've seen in years and I'm not leaving without one. NFL teams need to constantly be grooming QBs, and I'm afraid Coop's had all the grooming he's going to take to. I'd let Rush walk and look to the draft for later round guys like Jamie Newman/Wake or Shane Buechele/SMU who actually have some upside.

Every yr its the strongest draft class in this forum. If a backup is wanted. Id hope theyd go for a vet. Dak is young enough

Why replace Collins with Phillips? That's, at best, a lateral move, and Phillips is three years older.

Jordan is 6'6" and 324 lbs.
Maliek is 6'2" and 301 lbs.

We have to get bigger up front. For me, this would come down to contract demands but a part of me really wants to move on from the mediocrity and inconsistency of a lot of our free agents. The next coaching staff has a real opportunity to put their stamp on the roster.

Phillips is poor against the run, his size is irrelevant in that sense.

Collins was a draft pick. Phillips is a FA who has been wildly inconsistent through his career and is also kind of a knucklehead.

He has 23 tackles 8 sacks 10 tackles for loss 12 QB hits 1 FF playing only 49% of the snaps. Well playing in MIA who wouldnt be inconsistent. Playing with a capable defense you see the skill. And no he's not poor vs the run. ONly Aaron Donald has more tackles for loss playing probably 95% of LAs snaps. And he only has 4 more then him. Only has 15more tackles, and 1.5 more sacks.

Like the draft.

I'd personally rather re-sign Quinn and not trade up for a DE in the 1st.

He's playing 49% of snaps because he's poor against the run. He's a good pass rusher but he's been so bad against the run that Buff was using a) Ed Oliver on run downs early in the season and b) just signed Corey Liuget. Don't be fooled by his sack numbers, he's gotten a couple on cleanup duty and a couple on blown assignments. He's not all of a sudden some dominant defensive player.

He had effort issues in Miami, that's independent of who you play for. And at the time, they weren't that bad of a team - 10-6 and a good defense in his second year.

Aaron Donald gets double-teamed every play. It's not even worth mentioning him in the same galaxy as Phillips.

Yea saw that, it's interesting. I doubt he gets out of the first round b/c that 5th-year option is so important.

So much of this offseason hinges on what Brees/NO and Brady/NE choose to do. If either of those guys is gone, there's going to be a lot of moving up to grab QBs, I think. Depending on who declares, we might see something like 7 go in the first.
