You old timers are hilarious it's not a gateway drug. I smoked weed but never did any coke or meth etc. Now it is a gateway into the black market and dealing with drug dealers on a more regular basis which might have more of an effect. But if you jus bought weed at the store I don't think it leads anywhere.

Not that old and I did it too. Like I said I am not a hypocrite. Didn't say I am right but it is my opinion. I have family experience with someone who stair stepped his way into all kinds of drugs.

If he was driving stoned he would have been charged with a DWI he was not so he was not driving stoned.
I get that Hennessy, but he was "stopped" which means he was in a vehicle....and for now, there is no report of a DUI, so I'll take it he wasn't stoned or drunk behind the wheel, or they haven't done a blood test as of yet to see if he was or not... that may be another charge he faces...

Everyone has some one in their family that has had issues with drugs. I went through it with my mother my entire life she finally got sober 7 years ago.

I feel you but let's not jump to conclusions. What probably happened was he is either 1. an idiot and rides around with that in the car. 2. just picked up and was driving home to drop off and is very unlucky. 3. If he was smoking in the car while transporting he should do jail time for being dumb.

I'm an old timer (55) and I don't consider it a gateway drug. The coke, acid, mescaline, and quaaludes I did had nothing to do with with weed.

I think this needs to be said because this comes up every single time something like this happens.

- Yes, the league should re-write their weed policy and be less oppressive in punishments for weed possession, etc. for players.
- Yes, it's probably time all states loosen their weed laws

- BUT........... the rules/laws, as bad as you may think they are, still are what they are both for the league and some states, so it's no one's fault but a player's if they get caught and punished.

Well said, but good luck getting that through to some of these clowns. Every time another Cowboys player gets arrested, they twist into some tirade about the 'unfair system'.

Classic example of what not to do when you are a) injured, and b) haven't played well all year.

Can't practice, can't play, and can't stay out of trouble. I am guessing his knee will heal really, really, really quick now. Amazing how that works.

I do not understand the players in pro sports who are willing to risk their livelihoods and the privilege of playing a professional sport for a shyteload of money just to smoke a little pot. Its not a question of whether its legal, although that plays into it, or if the NFL Is behind the times for not allowing it. Its in the rules and its not such a hard rule to follow, is it? There are dietary supplements that are legal to sell that are banned in the NFL too. These guys play football professionally for a few years and then its over. How little discipline does a player have if he cannot refrain from drugs or alcohol for a few years while he plays football for millions of dollars? Sorry, I cannot and will not defend this kind of stupidity.

Also, the NFL has every right to ban smoking pot even in states where its legal. The NFL knows they are dealing with young kids, many of whom came from poverty to suddenly earning millions of dollars for playing a sport a few months out of the year. These kids are often immature, have lots of free time and lots of money for the first time in their young lives. Establishing rules to keep these kids from screwing up their lives is not a bad thing. Expecting them to be responsible for themselves is not a bad thing. And punishing them for not following the rules is not a bad thing.

Antuan Woods hurt himself and his team with his stupid behavior. I don't know if the NFL will fine him, suspend him or both but there should be consequences. Let's not forget what happened to the 1990s Cowboys when discipline was lost.

You druggies love to push your bad addictions on to society.

Never taken a single drug in my life. TBH I have never even smoked a cigarette. Not interested in any of that stuff.

Yet I don't fall for the nonsense used to oppress people.

Ask the folks in Denver. It's hitting their local economy hard while the national economy is soaring.
Big business and the stock market is soaring. Working class is stale. It will all come to an end shortly. You can only pull so much blood from a stone.
