Do we need 1 backer or 2 in the draft?

Our needs are extreme on the defensive side of the ball. With LVE having neck issues and Jaylons obvious regression what do we do?

we need a DT and secondary revamp as well. Could a fresh face and schematic change help fix this?

all this cost money so what do you do? Our window is still open but it’s closing fast!

firing Garrett and marinelli is a must at this point but that only touches the surface

We need a new scheme and direction.

Yeah they need LBs. Need a lot of guys...the shopping list is too long for one off-season. They blew it....you can’t waste high picks. Oh well...

Jaylon is just horrible this year. But who on this team played well last night? Maybe Zack Martin? Tyron Smith appeared to play okay. The rest of the team, when it mattered was just terrible.

I never thought I would say this, but if the Cowboys are drafting in the 10-12 range and a franchise QB falls to them, they may have to pick him. I like Dak, but two weeks in a row now two young QBs made him look silly.

So your stance is a different qb fixes this? An opinion that your entitled to I just think that’s a way down the list

those 2 qbs did their jobs against our pathetic d. I think you enforce my point

The Cowboys need a LB to replace Lee and another for depth. Draft strategy will be determined by FA.

There is no window. When Jerry, as he admitted earlier this week, decided to go young with many of his coaches he killed any talent advantage the players had. Your HC must be able to pick his staff, hire and fire at will to hold them accountable.

The players are still you and there’s probably a 4 year opportunity regardless of who is on the sidelines even if the staff changes

I don't agree, there is no window. Only the illusion of one. This team was never going to challenge for a SB.
I understand your frustration and maybe you’re right but I feel if you swapped coaching staffs with say NO (only because that’s who comes to mind ) the results would be different

maybe not drastically different but more positive this coaching staff is horrid

There are still majors things to consider. Chief of which is defensive philosophy the need of DT's and competent ones, safeties, CB's. That's just on the defensive side of the ball. Offensive philosophy would have to change as well.

No, that's not my stance. My stance is this entire team needs a makeover starting with a new coaching staff to come in and evaluate the players on this team with an new perspective. My point about Dak is that he has regressed back to the Dak of the past. His decisions and accuracy were pretty miserable when the game was on the line. Your QB cannot have problems dealing with the pressure of having to win a game.

So you want to blow it up? Not trying to be combative I’m just sure what your implying.

for sure the last couple of weeks Dak has been ugly . My takeaway is not as much that Dak has reverted to 2018 as much as it is he’s not going to be able to cover for this tremendous stank in the other side of the ball

yes he has to improve but we’re not in a position that a simple swap of qb will fix this. Only the NO game do I feel like the defense played up to their billing ( I consider the NE game a farce because of the monsoon)

It is clear to me that this scheme is simply too basic and flawed to work in today’s NFL.

Jaylon looks awful this year, yet seems pretty happy with himself. We need a couple of mashers at LBer for sure.

We need some bulk at DT and some friggin ballhawks in the secondary (these items have been issues for about 10 years)

I am thoroughly disgusted with the effort and product on display. At this point— I would keep D Law, Jourdan, LVE (if healthy), Bennett (if he even wants to stay) and Quinn. The rest just don’t look competent as starters against quality competition.

The more they talk, the worse they play.

Not blow it up. It needs a fresh set of eyes to evaluate what is wrong, who is responsible on the field and whether any of the problems are correctable. But, changes musts be made because the problems this teams is showing are significant.

We have alot of free agents coming up. Even if they don't pay Dak and have a great draft we have alot of holes to fill. Look at the team now, now imagine with no Byron, brown, Quinn, woods, Bennett, heath, etc. I forget if Armstrong, Covington, Hyder have 1 more year or are free at this years end too.

Considering they shouldn't re-sign Lee and who knows what Thomas wants to do, they definitely need to address it at some point.

I think the team should give LVE and Smith one more year to prove themselves before using another prime pick on a linebacker. Take another one in the 3rd day this year for depth/future growth and add some more in FA.
