Oh it’s not homer blinders. But let me bring a realization to you. The Bears suck. The Bills suck. These are games the Cowboys should’ve won. By no means are these some great teams. The Cowboys sucked and lost. Don’t let anyone convince you these are actual good teams because they aren’t.

The Bills are good even though no one wants to believe it. The Bears, especially offensively, are a joke. Dallas made Trubisky look like Steve Young.

Any non-Dallas fan will tell you that the Bears played better than the Cowboys. The offense failed to convert on 3rd down 9 TIMES IN A ROW only converting the last 6 when the game was basically over. The defense made Trubisky looking like a multi-threat QB. Take the homer blinders off for a while.

SMH,

The spot was bad on the interception. Jourdan Lewis's right foot was on the goal line (touchback). I was shocked that no one mentioned this. I was going nuts. The ball should have been on the 20. I am not making excuses, however this may have changed the complexity of the game. The team would have been more aggressive with the play calling which possible led to another TD.

The defensive captains, Coach Kris, Rod, Garrett should have went nuts on the terrible spot.

You should be respectful some time, no need to be a buttclown

Just as on a punt, if the defender foot touches the goal line it is a touchback. I reffed for over a decade, this is discussed in high school league ref meetings.

He should have argued with the ref about the spot when the ref told him they had won the challenge. This would have been a great time . He should have blew his lid, if he received a 15 yarder flag, it would have been one inch.
I saw that too...when it happened

And this is why it is no surprise there are so many conspiracy theories.

Indeed. People who don't know the rules immediately run for the tinfoil hat when they don't like the outcome of a play.

We had the same thing with the snap being a backwards pass last week. People flipped out, some of us actually checked the rule book, and it turns out the rules say it's a backwards pass.

This game was over before the kickoff. This play had nothing to do with the loss. Stop crying about the officials.

I saw but overall it was pretty meaningless in a game we were dominated. if the score was close they wouldn't have went conservative on offense, and prevent on defense for half of the 3rd quarter and all of the 4th. It could have been worse.

And Garrett is incompetent in this how?

He threw the challenge flag. He doesn't get to tell the refs where the spot was.
He can argue and make sure they get it right. He's never completely with it. Lacks street smarts.

It's unbelievable how many people in here complain about the refs and have no idea what the actual rules are..

Almost none of them know what the rules are. The average football fan doesn't read let alone reads football rules. The refs are the default kneejerk excuse for losses no matter what. Almost none of these types of threads existed after the first 3 weeks.

Are kickoffs ruled differently? If you are trying to down the ball inside the 5 and your foot touches the goal line it’s a touchback, doesn’t matter where the ball is
That wasn't a kickoff though. I'm not sure if you're confused about that, or if you're just confirming the kickoff/punt rule.

Yep it was a couple of us discussed that last night you would think they would have seen that when the replay was being reviewed I mean it was where his feet was that they were checking? What do you expect out of these NFL officials arguably one of the best games in the world and we have the worst officials not even full-time officials part-time at that and they just got a new seven-year contract? I remember a lot of people didn't like Paul tagliabu but he was a far cry better than this clown Rodger Goodell

The officials were correct on that play.

Yeah he probably knew the rule but he's not ahead of the curve. A smart head coach wouldve told the refs prior or after once a chance to think about it.
I don't understand. Are you saying he should've tried to convince the officials it was a touchback, when it wasn't?

Well like I said last night when we were discussing it I don't know if you were involved or not not really clear on the rule but I thought in any foot or any part on the goal line or Beyond it was a Touchback I'm going to have to do some reading up on that
