I like Cooper, he's a good guy and handles himself the way I wish all players did but I wonder if the team can afford him as he will hit that 18-20M area and with what they will have to pay the QB, tagged or not, and the OL and RB, can they really afford that much on one side of the ball?
Could this be a Cooper or Jones, can't keep them both situation?
Would it be better to draft a WR in the 1st, and there are some really good ones in this draft, and have Gallup and the rook WR fight it out for WR1?
We can't keep every player and from what I've seen, more are willing to part with Byron Jones that I am. Most seem to see him as the odd man out and he's by far the best player in this secondary. So, he's not a pickmeister, how many of them are? He does his job well enough to be one of the two best players on the D, a D that is in need of talent. And if they let him walk, there's your first rounder.
It seems to me that it's either Cooper or Jones and whichever walks, that's the position in the 1st round.
