I like, not love, Dak - but that's just crazy. What kind of team will be around him with that contract?

If we can draft at 10, there will be a good quarterback there. I'd franchise him and draft someone. I like Dak just like you, but I'm not ready to hitch my wagons to him in this capacity.

In a perfect world. The next HC should see if he wants Dak around. Shouldn't be forced on him. It will be, but, shouldn't be. I'm all for Dak, but, not if the HC is forced to work with him as his Starting QB.

That's a lot of years but in 2 years or less, 40 million per year most likely won't be top 10 salary.

And Dak likely would want to renegotiate if that was the case. I get the inflated salaries for QBs but overpaying now won't make him keep quiet when other QBs begin to surpass that avg. etc
