Its crunch time in the NFL. The Cowboys are struggling to win their division, the only way they can make the playoffs. But look at their injury report, 14 guys are listed with only 4 fully participating in practice. 3 offensive linemen are limited. do you think this effects the way they play on Sundays? Do it effect execution? I guess its not all hands on deck just yet.

The Rams injury report lists 3 guys 2 of whom limited or did not practice.

The early to mid 90’s Cowboys played through injuries. Exhibit A is Emmitt’s epic game with a separated shoulder versus the Giants. Those Cowboys had heart. These Cowboys have already packed it in and the butt hurt boys don’t want to play injured as they no longer care about the outcome.

I think it specifically affects this offensive line in a negative way. I think they're given too many 'vet days' and limited practices, and I'm willing to bet they're not practicing the physical aspects of the game as much as they should. And that's why, when push comes to shove, they get pushed and shoved.

Yet one more thing I look forward to changing under the new coaching staff.

And their wimp of a head coach enables it.

Our team is entitled IMO. I know football players can be egotistical sometimes, but our team is like the Browns. Browns have a bunch of entitled, selfish players that play for themselves rather than their team. Baker, OBJ, Landry, etc, are all folks that care about themselves and their images too much to truly focus on football. We are the same way, it's just less obvious. Their problem is the HC as well.

Who is a strong candidate HC that could fix this?

Not sure they can since Jerry enables these players by handing out unworthy fat contracts when one of them throws a temper tantrum or has one good season.

These days the league would not allow Emmitt to play with a seperated shoulder.

Doctors had no control up till the 90's

Oh I agree, and share the same thought. And it has been echoed by many others watching this team as well. They act as if they've 'won something' when the fact is that they haven't win anything in nearly 25 years, and even then none of these guy scouts had anything to do with it. Entitlement to a 'T'.

Urban Meyer is THE candidate. Getting him shows that Jones has agreed to his conditions whereas another hire wouldn't. Getting HIM puts EVERYONE on notice. He will have no allegiances to anyone currently here, coach or player. Nobody will be safe. Or feel safe. And this team needs to be on edge. That's how Jimmy kept them and it kept them winning. Once he left, so did that edge.

How do people have such low post numbers while being members for over a decade and then start bringing the heat. What changed? We’re y’all content up until this point?

To me, depends on the player and the injury.

Some injuries, like a back injury, won't simply heal in a short manner, especially with the player still playing.

So for someone like Martin, him taking days off to rest his back isn't that big of a deal.
It'll only heal in the offseason with rehab or surgery. Or not at all with the Cowboys luck.

guys just stop, we arent winning, they could throw the whole team on the injury list and it wont make a difference. 1 injury makes this team crap the bed.

you guys have to understand this is the culture, its a mindset, the team is done mentally, the coaching is done. accept it.

Well ok. Typical. They know they have to beat the egirls and are gonna lay down like a sick dog in front of the rams.

I really thought this team would fight this Sunday but they will take after this HC and staff and do just enough. These players will be so down after this next loss. They may lay down to the egirls just to show they are giving up on him.

What’s the tie breaker situation if we beat the Rams and the egirls lose to the foreskins? And say we lose to said egirls and then beat Skins?

I think it depends on if the egirls lose this weekend. I think pretty much if we lose to the rams but beat the egirls we are in. We may have to win the last 2 if we lose to the rams and the egirls win this weekend. Pretty much if we just beat the egirls then we would be in. If we lose 2 of the last 3 but beat the egirls they would need help.

Likely scenario is we only beat the egirls and wait to see if we are in.

Not true. Remember RGIII gimping onto FedEx Field in the fourth quarter of a January 2013 playoff game against the Seahawks? RGIII was under the gaze of no fewer than six physicians and assorted medical personnel.

There was an internist, two orthopedists, an emergency medicine specialist, a neurologist and a renowned knee surgeon. There were five certified athletic trainers on the sideline, and another stationed in a booth high above, an “eye in the sky” tasked with spotting injuries.

It was visible to all of them, as it was to the fans, that Griffin was so compromised by a strained right knee ligament that he could barely run. Yet the experts did not intervene. There's numerous of others, but that one stood out and still does. Shame on Shanahan for leaving the kid in there like that until he collapsed.

The early 90s teams didn't have to report injuries through the week.

So we actually have no idea if guys got rest or were limited in practice then. Just your fantasy ideas based on an era where there was little reporting.

I think some just read, get info. post when they think it means something to them. Others could be other reasons.
When I first found this site in 2003. I read mostly as it was a good source of information without surfing the internet.
Some possibly just want to avoid confrontations. LOL.

Many probably look at it from work, as I did at first. Because many companies monitor such usage, one needs to watch how much time or what they do.
Like I could go to this site, read, but felt if I posted too much, that would be noticed then just reading stuff. So I did nor post as much. So a few clicks here and there to get info seemed ok.

The company I worked for, which was a very large company, even monitored phone calls. So web time was also looked at.
