Why do that when we can hope to be right in our negativity and contempt at picking him with a degenerative condition.

Even though literally only one outlet/scout reported it, the doom & gloom patrol here are 100% convinced he has a degenerative nerve issue in his neck and that the Cowboys were dumb for picking him. Your logic and good senses are likely misplaced here.

Well, it continues to keep popping up for him, now doesn't it?

So either he has poor tackling technique causing neck injuries, his neck has prior problems, or he's unlucky like Sean Lee....

None of those things are good.

How many times has he been injured since he's been here?

Stasheroo officially concerned about Vander Esch's long term career.
Word. When it goes on this long with little to no discussion about it from team reps...never a good sign. We will read about the specialist visits and all that during the off season.

He had limited action last year until around the end of the year stretch, he had 6 weeks he missed in college due to his neck, he had a thigh problem that kept him out of training camp and some preseason games, he had vertigo earlier on in the year that severely impacted his game....

So, he got through 11 games last year as a starter before his injuries this year started to pop up.

Why dear?
( you're one of my favorite posters, be careful how you reply):muttley:

Not surprising at all. The young man has a neck injury, which is serious. I don't see him back till 2020.

Remember Peyton's neck injury? He had four surgeries on his neck due to a herniated disc that was causing him pain, but the cervical vertebral fusion that he underwent caused damaged to nerves, which can take time to regenerate.

Forgot about the vertigo. That seems manageable. The neck injury was a nasty shot, though mostly his own fault. I'm not at all convinced that's a chronic issue. Anything that happened in off season or preseason, may have just kept him out as a precaution, so I'm not too worried about that.

What I am worried about is that he wasn't looking like the same player as last year, even before he got vertigo.

The problem is, his vertigo may have been linked to his neck problem. I'm not convinced it popped up in the Eagles game - I think the shot made it worse. He was managing it before that.

I think the injury happened on a tackle that he collided with Heath. He may have had a neck problem in the same area and inflamed it. When your young you think your invincible and pretty much are. He will feel this when he is older. Fusion surgery is serious but don’t mean he couldn’t play. Could just be a bulge that was injured again. It depends on how bad. Is he having numbness in the shoulder or burning or weakness. They ain’t telling us right now. I would think they would put him on IR if that bad. Likey saving him for playoffs or egirls game. He said when it happened he could have come back in the game.

Vertigo is like a inner ear problem. But could for sure be a nerve problem from neck. I have several herniated and bulging discs. I have one between my collar bone and first rib that burns into shoulder blade and gives me heartburn that you can’t get rid of when inflamed. I call that nerve old faithful. It flares up every year or 2 for. month. Lol. 20 years or power lifting and heavy weights have taken its toll. Can’t imagine the car crash collisions these kids have as LB throughout a season or career.

Why would they even put LVE back out there? Call it a year and let him heal, so he can get right...if that's possible.
