How did we do the impossible and can it continue

We didn’t do the impossible on Sunday, we did the unexpected. To do the impossible we need to win the Super Bowl and even that wouldn’t be impossible because the Cowboys have a talented team. We saw on Sunday what this team is capable of. The biggest problem with the Cowboys is their lack of consistency.
Thats not true look at the film . Our Oline consistently allowed penetration so Zeke couldnt run . Our defense FLAT OUT consistently missed tackles and showed lack of effort . Our special teams CONSISTENTLY SUCKED!!!

Opps they still suck but at least this kicker can make 40 yrd FGs but kicks it out of bounds on kickoffs SHEESH!!!

The players got tired of hearing how overrated they are in the media and from punndits. They actually came out motivated and looked like they wanted to play and prove something.

I have my doubts that the coaches fired them up and changed schemes/strategies........the players just wanted this game to make a statement.

Again, the coaches didn’t prepare any differently last week but the players played as a team and not individuals. It didn’t hurt that Woods and Heath came back either.
About the best answer yet but why wait so long Sheesh !!

The team has been consistently inconsistent.

According to some folks it's "rigged"...oh wait, that doesn't apply to Cowboys victories. That's only true when something we don't like happens. :muttley:

It was very strange to me that Vegas started giving the Rams 3 points . In light of all the current games and events for both teams the last few weeks . How in good conscience could the Rams possibly be the underdogs .

This was my first clue that we were absolutely going to win this game .

We had a good crowd and we had a 1000 yard stare going on from the whistle.

There was serious things going on on the sidelines.

No tucking it up, no mugging until game was on hand.

Saw a couple of players wave off camera men who were trying to get close.

Obviously they were staying focused instead.

This is exactly what we need in Philly.

Along with some mild weather , We suck in bad weather and its about the worst here in Philly right now so hopefully better by game day

Let's be honest; the Rams were just horrid in that game. Goff was terrible from the start, sailing balls over WRs heads, WRs dropping passes, and atrocious coverage that we're used to seeing from THIS team. I do think we were laser focused, and if we come out with that same intensity, we could make easy work of Philly, who needed OT to beat the Giants at their last home game.

Nice post although the crux of your problem lies within your first sentence.
We're fans.
And although we can make logical sense to a degree...
We don't have the inner insights into the team like the team itself does.
Nor do we have them for the opposition.
Even less, actually.

This is why I just won't make predictions.
I know I don't know.

Well said anymore every time something looks like a slam dunk it turns out the opposite , but I have to say this was a startling turn around against a decent team with everything to play for and our O and Dline just broke there will and made them quit . Goff looked like he gave up half way through

Agreed but we must learn to sniff out and defend a screen pass and be prepared for horrible weather . Philly has been screening us to death since Brian Westbrook

man i would love to say...OH YEAH we are on a run.....but like many have said today...its only one game this is not momentum...we have seen cowboys play great and then lay an egg...but this i will say...it seems like its different this time?...maybe we turned a corner?...the way the NFL is now...you want to get hot last few games heading into playoffs...dont want to get too hot out of the gate and cool off....we got hot and cooled way off and maybe we flipped a switch?...i mean i even said there is no way a team could play this bad ( prior to rams game ) and then turn a switch on all 8 cylinders at the end....but maybe like so many other things i have opened my mouth about....DEAD WRONG?
Im hoping so now is the time to get hot and ride it into the playoffs, but the Eagles will be a tough out

It just seems like such a complete turn around in all phases of the game . Very hard to see how that happened in little more than a week against a quality opponent that beat us before
here is a thought... they were playing like pampered millionaires until their pride was smashed by 4 weeks of Media and teams punching them in the mouth, so they decided to pack up the lunch pail and get to work to save face.

i 2nd this

The rams aren't that great either. The reason everyone thought Dallas would lose is because they're better than the last two teams that dominated us. But I think the cowboys are every bit as good as the rams, but rarely play like it.

What could he have possibly said that he didnt say in the last 3 weeks especially on Thanksgiving in front of the whole football watching world .

"Jerry finally allowed me to take away your complimentary manicures and pedicures if you lose this game."

Did A-Aron Donald even play? Ramsey? Didn’t seem like it

It wasn't impossible. The Cowboys stuck with and could've beaten the Saints, Vikings, and Patriots. They didn't and the wheels came off.

Wheels have been flying on the extremely talented Rams all year too. Honestly, the Vikes have had their issues as well.

It's the NFL. Garrett deserves blame for the stretch of Pats to Bears, but it's not like Dallas is unique in their struggles.

I am not sure they can turn it around, but if they do, it's also not without precedent.

I think Tabascocat has hit the nail, on the head. I think the locker room motivated themselves. Clappy isn't a motivator.
