I listened to at least 80% of the fan base on this forum go on at great lengths as to how there was no way we could beat the Rams .
I was not buying it seen us come back from the dead before and save Garretts job .

Every bit of logic in the world said we would lose this game .

Rams were on a 2 game winning streak . We were on a 3 game losing streak . Rams play in a tougher division , Rams needed the game to make playoffs Rams had a better record . Cowboys couldnt tackle or stop the run , Rams just ran for 162 and 132 in consecutive games
Rams have the best DT in football and our Oline looked overmatched in the run game the last 3 games the iron in Zekes blood turned to lead in his butt in those games , no burst .

How were we expected to win this game COACHING??? Oh yea our coach is a lame duck and ready to be fired says our fanbase
We fired our kicker who was bad but Forbath was still certainly a ?
Vegas started out giving the Rams 3 very interesting why with all this logic favoring the Rams they were getting the points .

Game time comes and somehow we turn back time to 2016 OLINE is DOMINANT people are on the freakin ground again Zeke has pep in his step and is finishing off runs with Pollard being his perfect compliment .
Did the addition of Woods and Heath make that much difference to hold the Rams who ran on us unmercifully before to a measly 22 yrds . We made no critical mistakes and even got a TO Dak played a beautiful game complimenting our power running .
This Game was exactly how we were supposed to look this year . How did it possibly happen against a winning team after what had transpired before and dose this mean after seeing this anything is possible Someone enlighten me

On any given Sunday..or Monday...or Thursday..or sometimes Saturday....

Maybe the light bulb went on collectively. Coaches and players.
Jerry paid the bill, and flipped the switch.
It wasn't screwed in tight enough, and some maintenance dude, turn it that last quarter of a turn, as he needed light to find something, read his newspaper or something like that.

It just seems like such a complete turn around in all phases of the game . Very hard to see how that happened in little more than a week against a quality opponent that beat us before

The easy answer is that the Rams just aren't as good as their record indicates. But the truth is something is going on behind the scenes that we have no visibility of that caused the Cowboys to come out and blast the Rams like that.

Whatever it is................let's go get more of it.

Last year, 3-4, trade for Cooper, still lose, go to 3-5. Left for dead...then it got turned around.
Not saying it will happen again, but maybe it will, just later in the season.

Not holding out my hopes, as this teams seems so much different this season until yesterday.
Will just see how it goes from here, and hope for the best, but not expecting it.

Nice post although the crux of your problem lies within your first sentence.
We're fans.
And although we can make logical sense to a degree...
We don't have the inner insights into the team like the team itself does.
Nor do we have them for the opposition.
Even less, actually.

This is why I just won't make predictions.
I know I don't know.

It wasn't the impossible, it was what they are capable of doing.

Nate Newton I thought was on to something during his pregame radio show Sunday. The Players have not been following the script for the game. Blown assignments, selfish attempts to make a play and poor discipline. It does't take much to be on the losing end in the NFL.

they got it together yesterday and it showed in a big way.

We had a good crowd and we had a 1000 yard stare going on from the whistle.

There was serious things going on on the sidelines.

No tucking it up, no mugging until game was on hand.

Saw a couple of players wave off camera men who were trying to get close.

Obviously they were staying focused instead.

This is exactly what we need in Philly.

According to some folks it's "rigged"...oh wait, that doesn't apply to Cowboys victories. That's only true when something we don't like happens. :muttley:

It takes external motivation for this team to hit on all cylinders and they got it this past week.

Yes until yesterday!!! Yesterday we went back to the best of 2016 against a decent opponent who made the SB last year and had everything to play for . The last 3 weeks we really looked to be playing at about 3/4 throttle like they were saving themselves till our back was totally against the wall. It makes absolutely no sense

man i would love to say...OH YEAH we are on a run.....but like many have said today...its only one game this is not momentum...we have seen cowboys play great and then lay an egg...but this i will say...it seems like its different this time?...maybe we turned a corner?...the way the NFL is now...you want to get hot last few games heading into playoffs...dont want to get too hot out of the gate and cool off....we got hot and cooled way off and maybe we flipped a switch?...i mean i even said there is no way a team could play this bad ( prior to rams game ) and then turn a switch on all 8 cylinders at the end....but maybe like so many other things i have opened my mouth about....DEAD WRONG?

We didn’t do the impossible on Sunday, we did the unexpected. To do the impossible we need to win the Super Bowl and even that wouldn’t be impossible because the Cowboys have a talented team. We saw on Sunday what this team is capable of. The biggest problem with the Cowboys is their lack of consistency.

Please elaborate on what happened to give us this total transformation , because this team was seriously motivated Sean Lee was playing like his prime . The Oline was DOMINATING against the best in football . The defense went from making business decisions to tackling .
Did Jeff Heath make all this happen ?? Or Woods . Hard to believe they could have that much impact . But the difference in our Defense was shocking !!

The players got tired of hearing how overrated they are in the media and from punndits. They actually came out motivated and looked like they wanted to play and prove something.

I have my doubts that the coaches fired them up and changed schemes/strategies........the players just wanted this game to make a statement.

Again, the coaches didn’t prepare any differently last week but the players played as a team and not individuals. It didn’t hurt that Woods and Heath came back either.
