Dude- even Emmitt came out of games during his career... you can’t pick and choose when you’ll need a breather. And the thread is about Zeke not Emmitt.

How many times on 3rd and the short with a game on the line...

Folks need to start wrapping their heads around the fact Zeke is not special playmaking RB anymore. He hasn’t done much at all in that regard other than being a volume guy for the past three seasons.

Does that mean he sucks?

No.

But it does mean we shouldn’t be trying to make him a focal point of this offense. Pollard should be incorporated more the way Kamara was with Ingram in New Orleans early on.

Pollard gives you the play making ability Zeke simply can’t anymore.

Pollard was dancing around in the back field instead of bouncing his run outside.

The play was an option which means there is lateral movement by the RB and QB... Defense was to penetrate behind the line of scrimmage. What do you expect the RB to do... lol...

I don't know... Zeke came out on 2nd down.. Coaches should have put him back in on 3rd... that's what I would have done.

Zeke didn't get on track til it was too late. He played like he was out of football shape for much of the year. COUPLE THAT with the HC and OC not feeding him enough. What we should be talking about is Tony Pollard getting more touches. The kid has live legs and in the hole speed that cannot be taught. He can take a dive to the house , or a screen.

Zeke is a fraud. Has no heart and is way over paid. I would look to move him but Jerrah falls in love with his players and since Zeke sells jerseys and does a cool “feed me” gesture when he gains 10 yards so he is going nowhere. He can continue to put up meaningless stats against weaker competition and then play with zero heart in big games.

when Dak is healthy and his wr's do their jobs, he CAN beat teams by throwing. I'm not worried about that. I worry about him trying to do too much at times. His main issue is coaching and scheme.

Teams have done that the past few years. They were still able to run the ball. Zeke looked bad most of this season for a top paid RB.

Zeke played fat and slow. He didn't get into football shape until last week. Going to Cabo and then being paid like a king doesn't work. THATS ON JERRY.

This makes me nervous to say because I also have concerns about whats going on inside Zeke head. But I do think the Cowboys need to reset and make Zeke & that OL the focal point again. They are over-paid and likely un-tradeable but when OL & Zeke show up they are as good as anyone else in NFL. There needs to be accountability and hopefully next HC brings that. As tempting as Cooper & Dak are I would pass on both. Cooper is an absolutely overpay at $20 million year and I have major concerns Dak isn't accurate enough to win big games in playoffs against very good teams. Cowboys have good draft slot this year and ton of compensatory picks in 2021 (projected) so they can get this back online quickly.

I am still a Dak guy. He has been hurt last 2 weeks yet was out there trying. His receivers dropped so many balls yesterday. You see Dak bury his shoulder into a defender for a first down. Guy is a winner. Zeke is not. His post game interview was a disgrace. Guy does not care. Out of shape all season. The next coach needs to be a fearsome task master. The culture must change.

He only ran the ball 13 times and couldn’t even stay in the game! Do you think the Eagles would keep letting him run like that out of shotgun? No.

How many dropped passes were there? How many wide open receivers did Dak miss? That wasn’t the coaches fault.

You still defending the coaching. Team was not ready in the most important game of the year. The 3-4 call to go deep was stupid, playing for a field goal. Not having Cooper and Cobb on the field on the 4th down play is inexcusable. Call a time out, make sure you have he right players out there. Garret is a disgrace to coaching. Wasted another good team.

except it’s been proven statistically it’s not really the case and they really aren’t loading out to stop the run. I don’t know about this specific game but in general it’s not been the truth. Remember in the 90's we'd tell the other team what we were gonna do...and we STEAM ROLLED them? But...that was when this team "had heart".

Philly came into the game with the 3rd best rushing defense in the NFL, its also comical that fans are blaming Zeke because he didn't put 150 yards on a team that has averaged giving up 90 for the entire season.

150? He didn’t put up 100. He didn’t even put up 50. There’s not one game we wouldn’t have won without him. This is why you don’t pay ANY RB that much money, especially prima donna divas.
