In all seriousness, what would you do?

Now that our dysfunctional GM has started his buffoonery about possibly keeping Garrett what would you do if that happened?

I was 7 years old and living in Hurst Texas (in between Dallas and Fort Worth) when the Dallas Cowboys were born in 1960. I have followed them diligently for 59 years with many ups and downs but the focus was always on winning football games (or so I thought).

We currently have ownership that cares nothing about winning football games which directly contradicts what fandom entails. So after considerable thought I think I could actually give up my loyalty to this team if that were to occur.

I currently reside in East Texas, and the Kansas City Chiefs are the former Dallas Texans, and with Mahomes being an East Texas kid I think I could eventually adjust.

I would still keep up with the team at a distance until Jerry passed and this could return to resembling an NFL team that is focused once again on winning.

If he kept Garrett? Honestly. I’m sorry, but I’d turn in my fan card until Jerry perishes. That’s ridiculous. We pay all this money and spend our personal time watching a team we’re dedicated too and we get Jason Garrett as HC as our payment? No. That’s disrespectful to every Cowboys fan. Letting him stay for over a decade was disrespectful. Letting him stay another is beyond comprehension.

I’d follow the Ravens and Chiefs for a while. Maybe check up on my home team (Carolina). I’d check on Dallas and obviously I’d go for them, but I couldn’t do it.

I will end up like Saints fans prior to Katrina who would usually respond with “I root for the Saints but I don’t follow the team much”

Football may then soon become a thing of the past for me. I will quickly lose interest in this mediocrity-fest.

root like hell for'm.
i got too much invested to let JJ and JG dictate what I do as a fan.
Im a Cowboys fan cause of Coach Landry,Roger,Tony D,Drew,Too Tall,Randy White,Harvey,Jeffcoat,Mike Hegman,Waters,Harris,Everson,Thurman,Downs,Danny White,Herschel,Rafferty.
Jerry Jones bought the business.
not my memories.
I want Garrett gone....and a new generation Coach Landry.....but if it don't happen.
I'll still root like hell for'm to win.

I would still be a fan, still watch every game.
However my off season interest, TC interest would be way down, maybe near non existence. I probably would not pay much attention to the draft either.

Now if the get a new DC, it woulds help but not much.

I would not invest time into pre game or post game shows either, until they start to like NE, GB, SF, KC and the teams that win like they should.
I would not by any Cowboys items at all, I don't care if it was a $500 item for $20 unless I could sell it for a profit, which I doubt any one would buy it.

Well, I don't buy anything now. But you all know what I mean.

I'd still follow the Cowboys, albeit with less enthusiasm than before. Maybe follow the Bills some more - I lived in western New York for a while, so Buffalo is like my 2nd team.

And being a Stealers hater, I'd root all the harder for the Bengals, Browns and Ravens.

Jerruh can’t keep Garrett. This FO is so influenced by the public/fan base he knows Garrett-tops writing is on the wall. Garrett will fade into “Bolivia”, as Mike Tyson would say.
There will be a new head coach. Now staffing, that’s a whole other issue to deal with. We know Jerruh and his ridiculous way of hiring coordinators before the Head Coach...

Been a Cowboys fan from the first season (1960) until now. I’ve seen the best and the worst.

As far as being a fan of the Dallas Cowboys, nothing changes for me.

I didn’t realize it until the last preseason game, but this preseason was probably the first one where I missed the first three games since I was probably 10 years old. It wasn’t due to work or some commitment I had to be. It was merely due to having something better to do.

I didn’t even realize it at the time (it wasn’t on purpose). I guess what I’m trying to say is i wouldn't end my Cowboy fandom. I’m born in Fort Worth and raised in Arlington, I will always cheer for the home town team. I may just simply lose interest in the NFL entirely. I went to UTA and SMU. Maybe I will keep up with with SMU football more idk.

If Jerry retains Garrett I'm done with the NFL. I've been a fan of the team since 1975 and it wouldn't be easy to give up on the team. So instead I'll just quit the NFL altogether. I'll become a full time NCAA fan or maybe even be more involved in NHL hockey. But I promise anyone who asks, if Garrett returns as head coach I will never watch another game until Jerry and Garrett are both gone.

I'll be rooting for the Bills in the playoffs. They're the only NFL team that plays in NY. Jets and Giants are frauds ... and use the NY name to garner viewership. Both are NJ teams.
