We averaged 33 points against the East. Plus we didn't get to play against our defense.

Which is also why I'm not really sold on the greatness of the Eagles final 4 game miracle finish. Those are 4 pretty embarrassing defenses the Eagles best up on.

And who cares about WR talent on the Eagles. Wentz favors TEs and RBs as check down targets. I contend the Eagles are built to gene **** WRs.

.

Dak overthrew a dozen open receivers for the first time in his career, which was clearly on the injury. If that doesn't happen Dallas wins by two scores.

Dak had a Super Bowl team around him, built just for him. Dak is a guy that can only win when EVERYTHING is perfect around him, he doesn't make the team better, they have to make him better.

Wentz on the other hand:

Carson Wentz is the first QB to throw for 4,000 yards without a single WR hitting 500 yards.

Along the way this season, Wentz lost his WR1, WR2, WR3, TE1, RB1 & RB2.

Finished the season w a CFB QB as his WR1 & a 5'6" 6th rd RB as RB1.

That's a great point on the "no WRs over 500 yards". He might have had the best TE group in the NFL and had plenty of WR talent even if it wasn't the same guy.

Also Gallup missed three games and Cooper played through injury for half the season. Its not like every other team was 100% healthy.

Plenty of WR talent.

That's why it's hard to take you seriously.

He had three WRs of note to start the season - Desean Jackson, Alshon Jeffrey and Nelson Agholor. Jackson was lost in the first game. Jeffery played in only 10 games and wasn't all that good in the 10 he played. Agholor was a turd and also missed a bunch of games due to injury.

The rest of the WR corps? Mack Hollins, who got cut. JJ Arcega-Whiteside was a 2nd rounder who wasn't all that good. Then they churned the practice squad and off the streets barrel for names like Greg Ward, Deontay Burnett, Robert Davis...............

Put it another way. People complained last year early in the year that criticism of Dak was unfair because he was throwing to a WR corps of Hurns, Austin, Beasley and Gallup. That group of WRs is significantly better than what the Eagles trotted out at WR for much of the season, especially their last 4 games where they won the division.

I get wanting to defend Dak and not make it look like Wentz is some stud, because he isn't. But if you can't be honest when assessing these things and trot out statements like he had plenty of WR talent, it's kind of chuckleworthy.

You spelled "fans" wrong.

Alshon Jeffery never went to a Pro Bowl?

Alshon Jeffery only played in 10 games and wasn't very good. He made the Pro Bowl once............. in 2013. You arguing Jeffery of 2013 is the same Jeffery now?

I get you tend to look at these things with a heavy Cowboys tint, but LOL at this analysis.

Same people who will tell you all day that 2016 Dez was a "shadow of his former self" to provide Dak cover, will tell you that Alshon Jeffrey is still a feared matchup problem for NFL defenses. LOL

He has the best set of tight ends in football and beat the NFC EAST in 4 straight games. But lets continue the narrative his team is has no talent.
That's right! He had at least 1 TE to play the majority of our game, and the Giants game. Quarterback shouldn't need receivers, running backs, and offensive lineman to win football games. And let's be honest it's not like practice squad players that no other team wanted aren't talented. Everyone is talented in their own right, right?

Does anyone here seriously believe the Eagles are in the playoffs if we switched qbs?

Dak needs serenity and elite talent around him. I again refer to the pre Amari days.

Nope, if they switched roles, the Eagles would not be in the playoffs right now. Dak can't handle ANYTHING being out of place.

The eagles literally won a super bowl with Carson’s backup during the entirety of the postseason run.
If any team was built for a super bowl outside of the QB, it was clearly the Eagles.

Why do you think he favored TEs and RB check downs?

Go back to week 1 when they had full compliment of receivers.

OH look... DeSean Jackson lead the team in targets and dropped a 8 catch 154 yard 2 TD performance. He was lost shortly thereafter for the season.

remember the elite NFL level talent surrounding Dak in college? When he got his team to the number one rankings despite ZERO NFL talent on the offensive side of the ball besides himself?

I'll bet you Wentz would have been thrilled to have a healthy Dez that's not a head case on his team this year.

2019 Reception yards:

Zach Ertz 916
Dallas Goedert 607
Miles Sanders 509

Jeffrey had 490 in just 10 games
Agholor had 363 in 11 games
Ward had 254 in 7 games

All 3 WR's projected stats over 16 games in in excess of 500 yards.

Wince is the king of check down throws. Everyone knows that. Look at the TE's and #1 RB yards. Ertz has been hurt or his numbers would be higher. Check this out...

Yards per attempt:

Dak 8.2
Wince 6.7

he has only 6.7 ypa BECAUSE he has no one to run a route beyond 10 yards. You can’t get 8.2 ypa with no receivers

1363/2071
15,778 yards
97 TD
36 INT

Vs

1311/2055
14,191 yards
97 TD
35 INT

Strictly just as professional passers, Dak wins.
16 more attempts over four seasons.
1,587 more yards.

When you realize Dak only has 35 more career rushing attempts too, but 18 MORE rushing TD and 17 FEWER fumbles it really puts some distance.

118 TD
36 INT
31 FUM

or

100 TD
35 INT
48 FUM

In what world can you honestly prefer the latter?
