Apparently Garrett is arguing that he wasn't in full control of the offense and calling plays like he wanted in his final "prove it" year, so he deserves another chance... and Jerry may be buying it.

Questions:

1. Was that news that Garrett insisted he call plays going into this year? (And related, are there any stragglers still insisting when Linehan and Calalhan called plays that Jason didn't care and actually wanted to be just a "walk-around" HC?)

2. *** gives Garrett the right to demand or insist anything after nine years of failure? The nerve of this guy is unbelievable.

Maybe Jerry doesn't remember when Garrett did have full control of the offense, and then lost that control because it was so bad.

No i am sure he has said it. But Werder is the king of making up stuff with no credence or backing to it. He is the epitome of throwing things at the wall until it sticks. So I am just saying. I highly doubt he knows what is being said in the meetings more then someone like Slater or Sturm would who have ties directly to the organization

First of all, what the hell does join date have to do with the fact for how long I’ve been a fan? I didn’t know this board was Dallas Cowboys fan certification, my mistake. So fans since 1980 who joined this forum in 2016 have only been fans since 2016 by your logic. I didn’t “troll” in week 4, I called it like it was. Unenergetic team, imploding, and guess what? I was right. Sources on “The Break” basically confirmed that coaches were fighting. Players were apathetic and fighting with coaches. Locker room had a bad vibe. I WASNT wrong, I just wasn’t blindly optimistic.

He could be making an educated guess, I don't know. But I bet Werder has better sources than just about anyone. He's known people in that org going back to the Jimmy years.

I think it's almost all speculation to some degree because only Jerry, Jason and Stephen have been meeting (if Stephen is even there) and only Jerry knows what he'll actually do.
