Any thoughts on using Pollard in the slot.

His background from Memphis history...

He was a threat as a running back or slot receiver. He scored nine rushing touchdowns, nine receiving touchdowns and finished 15th in Memphis history in receptions.
It’s okay for short yardage but you’re taking away the deep threat. Teams wouldn’t back off as much. Even if they don’t keep Cobb I’d like a slot WR who can get downfield with some size.

Yes..

assuredly.

But is his role as Zeke's backup and kick returner just too much to have him at slot, too?

I would not know how it would sit with the coaches. If they lost him with injury..it would effect several positions?

I do not know. Anybody know?

It really depends on what Cobb wants. If he would come back for a reasonable deal then I’d love to keep him. He was excellent this season in my opinion, and a good veteran mentor to boot. Unfortunately though I think he will get a superior deal elsewhere and we should not overpay to retain him.

You are quite simply a genius or a fool...
your statements are buffoonery at best... no wonder you are not working in the FO

Things would be much better if I did!

No Zeke contract
No Lawrence contract
No Passing on TJ Watt

For starters

55 for 828 and 3 tubs, keep or let go?

Did have some drops and a fumble or two but also had 2/3 TD’s and a few big plays get called back by phantom penalties,
didnt realize we were that close to 3 1k WRS..wow thats crazy..TE we dont need one with those numbers...

Keep.......his style like Beasley's play a big role in an offense.........provided they're used properly. Garrett I don't think liked Beasley so he retaliated by misusing him........just like he did with Cooper last week just to show he was in charge.......and it cost him.
You, I used to not believe this sort of crapp, but after witnessing what I've been witnessing the last 10 years, I'd say it could easily be true.

Couple of things I remember, for instance:

The complaint: We never run the ball in the red zone.
The result: We handed the ball off and just tried to ram it into a loaded middle. Didn't work.

The complaint: We never go for it on 4th down.
The result: We went for it on 4th down at our own frickin' 20-30. Stupid stupid stupid. Yes, it actually worked, but still stupid.

Those are just a couple, but I remember several times over the last 10 years where Jason would react to some fan complaints.

To me, Cobb is meh. We need more a chain mover/outlet type in the slot.

No idea how much money is left if you keep Amari and Dak. Quinn and Byron are higher on the totem pole than Cobb and Bennett.

That's the job of the outside WR's.

I would just insert him in the lineup on occasion in that role, agree we need him for those other important duties more full time
