Some Cowboy fans obviously don’t appreciate Jason’s service to the Cowboys.

We haven’t had a Cowboys HC this era more connected to Cowboys history with his fathers connection to Landry era, his playing days in Jimmy era through his coaching tenure.

He handled himself throughout his tenure in a classy manner despite being surrounded by a dysfunctional organization with countless distractions up until the end. I wish Jason all the success in his future endeavors. He’ll always be a Cowboy.

Well, just to be cantankerous, Jerry's press release was classy. He definitely took the high road even if his praise of Garrett was overstated.

That aside, it seems to me that, much like the timing of the press release (during the Seahawks/Eagles wildcard), the protracted meetings and drama associated with "will Garrett go or will he stay" was, at least, premeditated to keep the Cowboys relevant during the playoffs.
