im indifferent so good if he does meh if he doesnt im sure MM has plan B and he calls the plays anyway..no biggie

Agreed. I think it will be a good chance to learn from an NFL Caliber play caller for the first time.

Smart guy who didn’t run a terrible offense last year. I’d keep him around. Let him develop as a coach.

I think Jerry has always hated the fact he let Sean Peyton get away. You could have your guy to win now.... and your guy to win later in a perfect world.

I don’t believe Moore was a finished product at all.... but I do think we could have gotten more wins had the team been able to adjust and perform in close games which is on the HC

1. I never really liked Moore. Thought he was just too green. Was anointed OC didn’t earn it. The “yards” ranking for this team is overrated and came as a result of trash yards at the end of games we lost.

2. I want to know that McCarthy is fully in charge and not forced to keep holdovers like Moore. Let him go before Jerry is tempted to strip McCarthy of play calling duties and give them to Moore.

Moore's primary contribution to the 2019 offense was adding movement. The play designs were straight out of Garrett's playbook.

mans the movement specifically was what McCarthy highlighted. So yeah. Point remains

Smart move for him to stay. Dallas is the best place for him to continue building his resume. He had a good start this year and there is no reason to believe that won't continue in 2020. Pretty good bunch of players to work with.

Tomsula has had about 30 years of football experience in both Europe and in the U.S in the NFL, as well. Sounds like he just might work out very well if he takes the job. I'm liking the changes that McCarthy has in mind and somewhat encouraged by what I'm seeing lately. This is good stuff, thank God. Here's hoping Jerry knows enough to step back and allow MM to do his job as he sees fit. So far, so good, though. :)

I’m uneasy of this. McCarthy wasn’t sitting there all year building a plan going “...and I want Kellen Moore to be my #2” He calls his offense and doesn’t like others screwing with how he wants it run. He’s always been that way and it’s no secret. So my guess would be Moore really just be there to learn under him as Dallas wants to develop him for future. So it is a forced thing by Dal,and I totally understand why they’re doing it...just not sure how Mike will take to this setup. But if he’s ok? I’m ok...just want to see it play out first,as Garrett also said be fine with him...when really it made a mess of things.

Life's too short Kellen, take a year or two under McCarthy and see how it goes.. Better than learning under Clapper!!!

I hope they find a role for him, McCarthy will call the plays so I feel good about our offense. Moore clearly has something to bring to the game, with his offense performing the way they did in his first year calling plays.

Does the coaches salary come off the cap money. If not then pay the man. They will be good for each other. MM wanting to evolve and Moore is a young brain that brings new ideas. Now that JG playbook is gone they need new plays to go with some of the older ones. Refresh this Offense..

From three weeks ago:

On second-and-eight from the Dallas 40, the Cowboys lined up in a power-run formation and design—seven across the offensive line, Elliott motioning from the left flank into a sidecar to Prescott, with Cooper and Gallup split wide left. The Giants had a cornerback eight yards off Gallup, outside the numbers, and a safety 10 yards off Cooper, who was inside of Gallup. At the snap, Prescott play-actioned to Elliott, flowing to his right. Nine Giants flowed to that side. Prescott pulled the ball out of Elliott’s gut. Both receivers ran quick in-routes, unchallenged by defenders, and Prescott flipped to Cooper, inside, for one of the easiest nine-yard gains of his life. First down.

McCarthy was visibly excited by the play. “The beauty of it,” he said excitedly, “is you can still run. It’s a clean run. But the free yards on the pass . . . that is such a smart design.”

He’s looking at film...a play on film. That’s not real life as to my point of the marriage on sidelines in practical reality. Garrett say same things...and by end wanted more control back over things. That’s my concern..we get back in a messy situation of too many cooks in the kitchen on sidelines. But I am glad you did post that ...because it’s positive feedback on Moore.
