The weird part is this, the same coaches were doing the same thing last year. Yet suddenly there is a clash?

Vander Esch being out and then trying to get Smith to do more than he was mentally equipped for is what I think.

Well they had 54 million reasons why they had to play that goon

So here's my take. Bloom got yelled at by Richard. Probably several time. He goes to Marinelli. Rod says "be a man and work it out with Richard." He then goes to Garrett who tells him the same thing. He then goes to Stephen who sends him home for not respecting the chain of command.

Who knows if this is how it went down but it seems a totally plausible situation.

What's it going to be then, eh?

After thinking about it, I had an epiphany.

At this stage, who cares?

They are both likely gone and were a part of the dysfunctional staff we had last year.

I really really don't care what snit they had.

Because at the end of the day, it actually was a good thing and contributed to getting a ten-year farce to come to a close.

But now Bloom is in Indy and that LB core and defense run circles around Dallas. So, who was right? This is why we need coaches telling players to shut up and sit down.
lol no wrong person (Bloom has been the LB assistant this year)

Your thinking of Eberflus but even then that wouldn't make sense because he left in 2018 and never worked with Richard (how could there be a beef between those 2 ?)

That’s how I feel.. I really don’t care about the last staff that much.

Some other NFL team will give them a job so whatever.

Why would the Cowboys respond to a demand of a DB positional coach???

because they saw him more than just a DB coach - for those that truly follow football and the going ons with the defensive staff. it's known that Richard handles the back seven ....while Marinelli handles the front four DL.

The weird part is this, the same coaches were doing the same thing with the very same players last year. Yet suddenly there is a clash?

Vander Esch being out and then trying to get Smith to do more than he was mentally equipped for is what I think.

I also think the idea of using Smith like some ace in the hole pass rusher was not all that smart. The guy lacks instincts as a rusher and cannot control his body to save his life.

Whichever of these guys that came up with that idea was wrong.

so how else were they going to use their newly re-signed and big contract money LB ... use him in more coverage? Bench him ?

I don't.
Dude's swiping over an injured player because he thought it was right.
Dude swipes on a play that's a penalty.
Dude swipes when his team is down multiple scores.
Guys celebrate. Every guy in the league does. Every single week. This is not a big deal but you’re trying to make it out to be one for some odd reason.
