Dak Prescott question looms large

Do you think there might be a reason for that? He passed for exactly 0 TD's against the Saints, 0 TD's against the freaking Jets, 0 TD's against the Patriots, 0 TD's against the Eagles in a win or go home game (the type of game people loved to crucify Romo over). But yeah, he really lit up those powerhouse teams like the Giants, Commanders, and Dolphins. He put up those great stats and lead us to 8-8 and sitting at home watching the play-offs.

And like I've said so many times, he can get the ball to the guy, his inaccuracies come more down to where he is delivering the ball. So many times he throws it a bit high, a bit low, a bit behind the guy even when they are wide open. So they can still make the catch, but that adjustment really hurts what they can do after the catch or, at worst, allows the DB to make a play on the ball when they really shouldn't have been able to. He really needs to improve there. Hopefully he can do that this off-season.
The reason for it is stupidity. Pretty much. Wentz got his deal after not winning a playoff game. But they understand they are better with him than without.

Cousins put up great numbers in Washington and was clearly the best QB they’ve had in years. He had four consecutive 4000 yard seasons. He put up great numbers his final season with Washington but they finished 7-9 and a lot of the blame fell on him. Since the Commanders allowed him to walk they’ve gotten worse every year. I get that QBs are judged on their W/L record but you have to be careful with that sometimes. You can’t make the mistake of putting it all on the QB if they’re putting up solid numbers.
I wonder do people feel they are better without him? Between the picks they invested in him, RGIII and Haskins? Cousins should’ve been the guy.

Expect a big-name veteran QB Rivers, Brees type to show up in Big D in the off-season.
No way Dak gets a Wentz type deal not even close.
What would be wrong with Teddy Bridgewater he was a decent quarterback before he got hurt and he showed again this year that he still has it with good people around him which we have?

I like your idea but what will Jerry do? We should have paid him right after Wentz and Goff.
Would have been a good idea but I think that's when he dug his heels in and wouldn't take that kind of money I believe it was offered to them per reports?

#1 offense in the league and 2nd in passing yards yet Dak is the problem for many in here.....jesus guys....

Take a look at what an average special teams and kicker would have done to our record and all you would be sounding much different right now.....did you know our special teams had 3 TDs for the decade?? THE DECADE!!!!!!

It's going to be hilarious when even you realize that's not happening. :muttley:

So you want to see the cowboys suffer?

Now this is trolling. Why would you want to see the cowboys suffer with Dak?

So you can get a laugh in? Poke fun at Jerry?
If Garrett works out great with another team , then it's clearly Dak's fault.

We racked up stats against teams living in the basement.

Special Teams also needs to be improved greatly. I don't think anyone here will argue that.

Comes back to coaching and mindset.

In 1991 Jimmy Johnson would try onside kicks... Cowboys end Skins 11-0 in RFK, onside kick. Remember that guys and gals?? Blocked punts.
Teams thrive on special teams plays.

You think Teddy is going to come here for a bargain basement contract? Is Teddy that much better than Dak long term?
What has Teddy done in 5 games that Dak cannot do?
It is this kind of thinking which hurts this team. The Eagles would have signed Dak as soon as he was eligible because they have a real GM who knows team building. I am not saying every one of his moves is perfect but we as an organization are always reactive?

To be slightly fair, nobody is just coming in as head coach and crapping on the incumbent QB. Even if they want to ultimately replace him, they still might need him as a stopgap.

But I'm pretty sure McCarthy doesn't take the job if he sees Dak being in the same tier as Nathan Peterman like our more kookoo bananas Dak haters who think's he's in the same tier as Ryan Leaf or whoever.

You haters sound really silly with you Dak comments. Either you're just trolling or you'd know there has been MUCH worse QB's through here than Dak. I'm looking forward to seeing how McCarthy can improve Dak's game. This is a time of optimism not negatism. Have you already forgotten in a week what a decade long mess we just got out of?
The shaming propaganda from the Dak stans smh. Dak isn’t good enough to hate. He is what he is average.

One or two people thinks he’s Ryan Leaf bad. Let’s not exaggerate the numbers to get your point across. The vast majority thinks he’s just average.

I hope not. In no way shape or form do I expect that.

And, Rivers? LOL. Bahahaha.. .He was worse than Dak last season. He is done. Why bring in a retread like that? Price I guess. Doesn't help Dallas at all though. Not saying Dak will, Just, no.
