I just heard this. Whether you liked Rush or not, he was the best drummer ever in my opinion. I was fortunate to see them live 5 times and his solos were always amazing.
Think I may light up one and listen to La Villa Strangiato tonight.
You're right. I despise Rush, but much respect for Peart....Explains why I had to keep changing the station today.I just heard this. Whether you liked Rush or not, he was the best drummer ever in my opinion. I was fortunate to see them live 5 times and his solos were always amazing.
I prefer the studio version, but thank you very much!
That album was the first Rush one I listened to and it had a profound effect on me. My older brothers turned me on to the good stuff from a young age and I'll always be grateful for that.I remember my younger brother kept telling me about this great drummer and of course I didn’t pay any attention to him. I first gave 2112 a spin and was floored. A tremendous talent Rip.
To be perfectly honest their studio work IS amazing.
That just happens to be my favorite version.
Neil was a motorcycle enthusiast as well...

Their style wasn't for everyone but there was no denying how talented they were as musicians and they were definitely unique. Geddy on the bass and keyboards, Alex on the guitar and of course Neil on the drums. You're right. I despise Rush, but much respect for Peart....Explains why I had to keep changing the station today.
