I mean, it's too early to call this putt.

Maybe he kept Kellen because he genuinely thinks he's a brilliant coach and he plans to make good use of him scheming our offense and calling our plays. Like how Parcells hired Sean Payton, who he had no experience with but who he'd noticed and respected and he knew he could probably ride him and get some results.

Or maybe his pro-Kellen stance was entirely a calculated move to appease Jerry in order to get hired in the first place.

Nobody who interviewed for the job was going to get it by second-guessing Dak, Zeke and the running game's importance, or the wunderkind coach Jerry aggressively promoted who had a promising first season and who Jerry surely thinks has a bright future. I'm sure McCarthy talked up those 3 guys. We'll find out later how much he meant those things and how much he blew smoke up Jerry's butt in the interview to get the job at any cost.

When the McCarthy era is over in Dallas, it wouldn't surprise me if Moore is the next HC.

I'll take it one step further and say he's being groomed to be the next head coach. I know McCarthy said he has complete control over his staff, but I think this is the one coach where Jerry said, I'd really like you to strongly consider this guy.

That would imply lots of success and McCarthy going out on top. If that happens, Moore is likely plucked away well before McCarthy is ready to retire. If there is no success and McCarthy is let go, why would anyone want to transition from that to Moore?

This one for sure JJ all over it KM is the untouchable and rightfully so...wish they can keep Kitna too...also I would not mind JG being at the management level that's where he will be good

If he lets Kellen Moore run his own offense then I would agree.

But I don't see Mike McCarthy doing that and if I had to predict I'd say Kellen Moore is here for a year and then he's out of here.

After listening to McCarthys interviews I doubt very seriously that Kellen is running anything.

I think he is just going to be a buffer between Dak and the head coach primarily.

McCarthy sounds like he wants to be the playcaller and QB coach as well.

I agree. That's exactly what this is going to be which is discouraging to me. Im not against McCarthy but I didn't want his offense. But it comes with the territory. Moore won't be here very long.

I want McCarthy to have as much power as possible so if it doesn’t work we don’t have to do the same silly guessing game like we had to do with Garrett by switching coordinators 2 or 3 teams.

Let McCarthy do what he wants and if it fails find another coach.
