The Most Important Thing is McCarthy kept Kellen Moore

Lets be honest about the situation here for a second, Kellen Moore was brilliant for his first season as offensive coordinator! Lets also finally ALL admit that Garret definitely at times sabotaged him and influenced his game planning so we're not getting the full and true picture. Make no mistake about it, Garret was threatened by Kellen the beaver moore just as he was Wade when he burnt a hole in his chances staying on as our coach.

I'm not a Garrett hater, but as someone whom takes pride in being authentic, I can smelll a poser a mile a way and Jason was nothing but a wannabee zig ziglar whom wormed his way into silver lined situations with smooth talk.

It was smart to keep Moore because we don't need Dak taking the field trying to learn a new offense. So in keeping Moore that means Dak will be back. If next year results mirrors this years results then both Dak and Moore may be gone.

The knock against McCarthy is that his offense had gotten stale and predictable his last couple of years in Green Bay. Keeping Moore is evidence that he is willing to make some substantive changes in his approach.

If McCarthy does nothing else right....brilliant move holding onto Kellen!!!

I was in favor of keeping Moore; however, "most important move" ?

I've heard that too, but its noteworthy that the Innovative and Progressive offense that Greg Roman implemented with Lamar Jackson has just been solved and gone down in flames.

Just goes to show that if an Offense is either Innovative or Stale, execution is really the only thing that matters at the end of the day

Moore is very green but also very bright. MM maybe sees this as opportunity to blend the old with the new. Plus Kellen didnt do all that bad, he just needs more experience and a better understanding on how to control/manage the game on offense. JG did not help Moore grow at all, MM will.

Nope.

McCarthy is installing his offense. Moore and Dak will have to learn it. All new terminology.

Rodgers changed all his plays. How would someone know?

The most impotent thing for this team in 2020 is for Dak to be in camp every single day so he can learn this offense. It's a must. He still didnt taste Garrett's offense, so missing time would kill our season.

When the McCarthy era is over in Dallas, it wouldn't surprise me if Moore is the next HC.

Very likely. I could see MCCarthy here for 5-6 years but if we’re successful, and I think we will be, Moore will have opportunities elsewhere.

Well he did say in his public interview that he took the year to reflect on what he did in Green Bay and learned a lot. Hopefully it's a complete 180 for him and that the offense improves even more with what he learned.

But as for Moore, people are saying he and Kitna didn't get along... As I posted in another thread, I know what the OC duties entail but that being said, personally, I would have kept Kitna over Moore because of the improvement I saw in Dak's play since getting Dak's ear...

McCarthy is going to be calling the plays so with all things considered, why keep Moore... He's really not even needed

I love it. Moore is definitely a bright young mind and I think he will greatly benefit from McCarthy. I mean, he should benefit from anybody but Garrett. I think him deciding to stay is a major positive whether he is calling plays or not. Crazy to me how cynical some of you are about a kid who called (or helped if you want to give Garrett credit) the #1 offense in the NFL in his first season as an OC.
