Comebacks under Garrett

I can't remember a Garrett coached Cowboys team that could have, rather would have comeback after being down 24-0 in the first quarter. The team would have quit when they realized Garrett had no adjustments for them. So happy the Clown is out.

Poor Houston, remember the Oilers vs the Bills game when Houston was up by 30+ points and lost. WTH.

He had a few close ones, GB in the playoffs and then this year off the top of my head. But I don't recall a signiture come fron behind win

This team never quit on him. Regardless of what some think. I dont think they quit on him this year. Would have been easy to with some of the junk that was going on, but they didnt. And Dak and Romo both had their share of comebacks under JG. Im glad we have a new coach and i dont really see the point of still dragging JG. but hey... to each their own.

No doubt some players did quit on Garrett, but they would have quit on any coach, imho. For ALL of the team to quit on Garrett would mean every player didn't care if they lost games, or had a losing season, or lost game after game in a row. Also imho MOST players hate to lose, they wouldn't quit on Garrett for that reason, if nothing else.

Most people have no idea how tough playing pro football is, players get beat half to death every game, they have strains, sprains, bruises, abrasions, jammed fingers, etc. Those aches and pains linger for most of the following week, and after a few weeks they never go away. Regardless of how much they get paid, to suffer through that and not have the satisfaction of a win is to me first of all dissing the players, as well as saying we can read their minds.

Unless we personally know all the players to say they all "quit" on Garrett is the worst of armchair quarterbacking....

They were down 21-0 to the Rams and came back and beat them, if I'm not mistaken.

But coming back to win when down 24-0 should never be an expectation. Garrett's teams were generally pretty good about battling back or keeping things close. The issue was that they started off so poorly, so consistently.

Like it was yesterday. That game was unbelievable as this one was. There wasn't one Cowboys fan thinking we would have won with a 3rd string quarterback vs Favre on that Thanksgiving.
