By offensive efficiency.

I didn't go by yards. Come on now.

Whatever, same thing. Not enough to points, wins, or playoffs then who care about some dumb efficiency stat. It obviously doesn’t mean anything because you can be 2nd in the entire league and still not make the playoffs. You know what stat you can’t be 2nd in and still miss the playoffs? Wins! That was my point.

It isn't babying. It's making the transition simpler for the players so that they can hit the ground running instead of wondering what pattern they are supposed to be running because McCarthy is using a different word for it.
Dont agree, it aint that deep to learn new terminology. Another Wade just watch.

Dude....yards and efficiency is not remotely the same thing.

And we didn't make the playoffs probably because of...that other 50% of football...you know...defense.

Keeping the terminology the same does not mean the offense remains the same. I don't believe this means we're running Kellen's version of Garrett's offense. It simply means we're not going to change the language of what the players do. This makes it much easier for them to understand what's expected of them instead of having to learn new terms for the same routes, etc.

And McCarthy has said that he is implanting the "West Coast" passing concept, so the Garrett-offense is effectively "dead".

McCarthy stated they are putting in the "West Coast" passing offense.

Yeah, I saw that in another thread after I made my post. That's all I really care about. If McCarthy wants Kellen to call his offense I'm fine with that. This isn't a case of Kellen running Garrett's offense.

I'm not sold on Moore doing it instead of McCarthy, but really it's just following the game plan that's put in place during the week. And most likely, Dak will be able to audible out of the call depending on what the defense shows.

Not trying to downplay it, but most of the time when you have an offensive-minded head coach what happens on the field is more because of them than the OC. Same way with a defensive-minded headed coach and the DC. That's one reason I'm wary of hiring some great coordinator with a head coach who is also great in the same area; it can be misleading.

wow..that was unexpected.
Not really - proves what we knew all along. First 3 games where we looked awesome were Kellen calling plays. The others with exception of Eagles and Rams home games were heavy on the ginger’s bad touch.

And you know this how?

And how do you know what you think you know?

It could be McCarthy suddenly doesn't want to call plays after doing so for his last 13 seasons. Or it could be Jerry being Jerry. It seems to make more sense McCarthy who normally called plays would still do so, especially since he's likely to install a WCO which Moore isn't familiar with. Not a stretch to think the guy Jerry hired last year as OC and gave play calling duties to despite the HC wanting to call plays is now forcing this same guy on the new HC and having him retain play calling duties.

Man, I thought it would be fun when JG left and we could start over...some of you read WAY too much into every sound byte. The guy is smartly looking at the pros and cons of the last few years and seeing what works and not works...the D front doesn't change but needs to be revamped completely, ST needs to be revamped...the offense(the pro) is staying similar but using the WCO with the passing game. How is this so bad or worth 16 pages of yelling?

People who don't like the offense and the QB are trying to deal with the fact that the new HC -- whom many of them have praised -- is very impressed with both.

Hey, if you want to believe that so be it.

Enjoy the upcoming season!
