I personally hate it and agree with everything in the video. I cant believe they went this route and Kellen Moore will be used as a buffer between McCarthy and blame if this thing doesn’t work out.

This is why I wanted a big flashy hire and not a guy desperate to get back in the league.

Did they say the same thing about Parcells when he kept Zimmer? After all Parcells was a SB winning coach and his specialty was the defense.
Did they call Parcells a puppet and a yes man when he decided to keep the 4-3 defense and not change it to a 3-4 in his first year?

I liked what I saw from Moore in weeks 1-3. There were a lot of motions, and receivers were giving Dak high fives as they motioned through, and then suddenly, all of that stopped.

I think Garrett got confused with the play designs and dumbed it down for himself.

One Moore year is fine with me.

He was out of football for one year and Had interviews with multiple teams. McCarthy was 100% without a doubt going to get another chance to be a head coach, whether it was with the cowboys or not.

I do find it peculiar, however, I guess we will find out when the season begins. The truth behind it is, this coaching staff was more dysfunctional than many of us were led to believe (which is surprising really since we all knew this coaching staff was trash).

Weeks 1-3 were easy teams, yes, however, Dallas never really looked that good on offense throughout the rest of year unless you count the Rams and Commanders game, which was mostly won by the run game, not passing like the first 3. Again, we will see.

If this is true, and I have no idea if it is or isn't, why in the world would Jerry not go to Garrett and tell him to back off and let Moore call the plays and design the offense if Jerry meddled as much as everyone seems to think?

Sit back and allow this thing to play out. I mean, we got what we wanted. A new coach. Of course we all knew we weren’t going to get to pick the coach we want it or the scenario but at least we got that.

Moore first year as OC wasn’t bad, You could tell the play design was alot better I’m sure he learned from his experience and actually he’s a capable head coach to back him up.

McCarthy has Moore under his wings and WILL watch him closely. If McCarthy didn't want him, he'd be gone as well. This is the loosest I've seen Jerry for quite sometime.

MM is an offensive guy came to fix the defense and special team? MM will implement his own WCO ok KM is the OC and will call plays Ok...something does not add up here

He did an interview. With or without the interview he was going to get hired again. be realistic. You think that interview had anything to do with his hire?


HC’s with McCarthy’s resume always regularly get head coach offers from teams. A less accomplished head coach Ron Rivera had just been hired immediately by another team after being fired from his.

McCarthy was in NO WAY shape or form, desperate for the cowboys job. He was going to have other job offers.

I find it hard to believe that Mike is changing ALL the coaches outside of Moore and Nussmeier and is not gonna have a ton of say in this offense. Moore doesn’t know any of them outside of Nussmeier, but he’s creative, and super talented. Both Romo and Dak have said this for years.

Catch, I understand we didn’t get the college hotshot, but we got what we wanted. A new HC and he’s picking his staff. He kept the only talented coach we had who wasn’t influenced by JG. I would rather Mike call plays myself, but I think Mike is smart enough to not screw up what Moore did last year. He just wants to add to it.

And he interviewed with every team that had an opening btw. I also admire that he worked last offseason.....he didn’t join ESPN and talk football with these goons.
