CLBFTeddy. Teddy and Dak are essentially the same QB. They’re average. Both do great when all the pieces around them are elite/great, but falter as soon as one piece is taken away from them. I’m taking Teddy at a cheaper price. That way, we can put pieces around him without worrying about the cap and other contracts. I’ve been saying this for a while: Dak is a glorified backup. He fits the line among QB’s like Bridgewater and Alex Smith, who are both currently backups. I don’t want to hear the “5000 yards BS stat” because it means absolutely nothing. 5000 yards got us to 8-8.

I know some of y’all are laughing because of who made this thread but if you put the bias aside and look at the numbers it may make some sense.
Let’s say Teddy at 20-23mil doesn’t quite get up to Daks numbers but is serviceable, but able to use the rest of that money to beef up the rest of the team.
OR
Pay 35mil and practically keep the same team and actually losing some players with Dak keeping his level of play from last year.
It is something to consider and I’ll probably get flamed but it does make a little sense if put your bias away.
I looked at it with an open mind and I agree. Teddy made our defense look just as inept as the starting QBs did, and the money we'd save could buy us some of the free agents we were clamoring for.I know some of y’all are laughing because of who made this thread but if you put the bias aside and look at the numbers it may make some sense.

Sorry I’d keep Dak. You guys are saying they are of the same caliber are kidding yourself. Mind you we’ve had a bunch of average qbs in here from Brandon Weeden, Matt Cassell, Jon Kitna, Brad Johnson...then you’ve had some bad ones like Stephen McGee and a few others.I know some of y’all are laughing because of who made this thread but if you put the bias aside and look at the numbers it may make some sense.

That money you’d save on Bridgewater basically allows you to re-sign Maliek Collins and Anthony Brown. Two guys who are replaceable with draft picks.Wow...when i first saw this thread i thought it was ridiculous and an attempt to start an anti Dak threat. But the more i think about it this is a much more fair question that I thought at first.
Yes i 100% take Dak at the same price, but if we are talking a $10-15MM price difference i'd be tempted to roll the dice on Bridgewater. That money could land you a nice piece at DT plus a possible S, or help retain Byron. Opens things up for the draft quite a bit, and you don't have to worry about a Kinlaw or Delpit falling to you. If so you can still take them, but this even lets you take one of the 2nd tier QBs if you love one, and develop them. I'm also assuming Bridgewater wont command a 5+ year deal.
You can’t tell people that who just look at box scoresDak is 10x better than Teddy. Teddy is a bus driver who can't throw further than 10 yards down the field.

The only people who were to effectively run this offense were Dak and Romo.
Yet you guys want me to believe Bridgewater could? Please. You guys are being duped by Bridgewater because he has Sean Payton as coach and had a stacked team around him. A well coached team. And if I’m not mistaken didn’t he tear both of his acls? And you guys want him at 25 million over Dak at 35? Basically a 10 million dollar difference? I’d rather lose Maliek Collins and Anthony Brown and keep Dak than keep those guys and get Bridgewater.
