Eric Berry plans to return to NFL in 2020

Achilles tendon rupture is way worse than an ACL injury. The chances of a full recovery to where he was at his playing days before that are pretty much gone. Especially for a S having to explode and change direction.

Most guys that suffer Achilles tears have to get their leg decapitated.

DAL needs guys ready to come in and play at a high level...starters. Too many ifs and what ifs with Berry.

All these new defensive coaches DAL has signed should be able to help find two good safeties w/o dumpster diving for Berry.

There are 31 other teamS that also weren’t interested.

31 other teams that wouldn't have Heath on the field, but hey here we are. 31 other teams that didn't want Terrance Williams and yet every year our roster is so "talented".

I doubt that there are 31 other teams that wouldn't have Heath on the field. In fact, I doubt that very much.

You really think every one of those 31 teams are so strong at safety they couldn’t use an upgrade? not one of them needed safety help?

As for the comment about Terrence Williams, that makes no sense as a response to me, and even so, do you really think every player that ever gets realeased by others teams regardless of circumstances gets picked up by another team?

You are judging the Cowboys by a standard that isn’t real - and by a standard you don’t apply to any other team.

As for the comment about our team supposedly being so “talented”, that also has absolutely nothing to do with what I said.

Agreed. Great special teams guy and experienced starter if the need arises. If the Cowboys cut Heath last season he would have had at least a dozen teams calling his agent. Not saying Dallas shouldn't upgrade at safety, just saying Heath has a role here if Dallas re-signs him.

Football is a young man's game. It's the rare few that can play into the 30's and even fewer with his injury history. Berry was a great player, and if he has anything left would be nice to have him. I just don't have faith he has anything .

He was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma, what I have been battling for the last 10 years. I give him credit for beating it, always loved him as player.
Sorry to hear that Mr V.

It is nothing personal against Berry. I live in KC and for some odd reason many Cowboys fans are obsessed with him. Great player in his prime. I saw him at the Costco about a year ago and he was struggling.
