Dak’s not as good as Mahomes, but Dak could have done everything Mahomes did today.

So our QB is good enough to win a Super Bowl.

But our entire team and coaching staff has to be good enough to get us there.

Dak isn’t a savior but he isn’t our problem in isolation either.

Mahomes threw an INT with the Chiefs down 20-10 with about 11:00 left.

What if the 49ers had scored a TD on the ensuing possession? It would’ve been 27-10 and the game would’ve been all but over. Mahomes would’ve been the guy who “couldn’t deliver when it counted”.

Instead, the Chiefs D made a stop and kept them in the game.

Then after the Chiefs cut it to 20-17, their D forced a 3 and out.

Then after the Chiefs took the 24-20 lead, their D got another stop.

Mahomes is awesome and I’m pumped that the Chiefs won because I was rooting for them. But it’s a team sport. The Chiefs defense needed to come up big down the strech just as badly as their offense needed to.

Well said unfortunately far too many people have extremely short term memories.

Yes it’s a team sport but when you are playing a team sport against a team that is depleted due to injuries, forced to play with backups you have to deliver.

Anyone seriously think Mahomes or any other top tier QB would not have won under the same circumstances?
