Question about Dak

It is belief that Jerry and company have offered Dak more than what he is worth but Dak want's more. If you had a say would you dangle Dak on the trade market? If for nothing else just to make him think that he may not be the future of the Cowboys? If it was up to me I would tell Dak straight out, "this is our offer, take it or play elsewhere". Maybe then something will get done!

They haven't offered anything. They literally just spoke to him the other day after not speaking with them since September!!!!!!!! Front office is trash my G. Imagine a real GM telling his owner he didn't communicate with his QB and agent for 5 almost 6 months.

They offered him $32 million per, he wants more than Russell Wilson and he is not even close to Wilson. This is why there have been no talks!

Another Dak hating thread.

At least this one is straight out in the open from the beginning. Sheesh.

Oh boy the world is just on pins and needles with another Prescott thread. Another Prescott thread discussing his upcoming contract. How did the world survived since the last Prescott thread.

Please tell us all of the teams that are going to pony up anything for a player who in less than 3 weeks could be a free agent? Then you say to tell Prescott to just forget all of the times Jerry, Stephen and McCarthy have said he was their franchise QB and then tell him he might not be their future QB. The funniest part is yet another fan who has declared what MIGHT have been offered was more than he is worth and of course all your years of being an NFL coach and scout is your basis for that declaration.

Wage scale goes up. Wilson's contract was a year ago. The Goff and Wentz contracts are the comparables for Dak. They got Wilson's guaranteed money, and < 10% less per year. But they were a year ago too.

With the new CBA coming, Dak's *floor* is Wilson money. There's no reason for him to rush. He could very well play on a tag and get even more next year. He played for 2 mil last year. He'd be playing for 33mil guaranteed this year on the exclusive tag. Jerry probably wants to use our tag for Cooper.

Dak's in no rush, and Jerry is. Advantage Dak. The problem with Jerry, much like last year with Zeke, is that he telegraphs that he has no Plan B, that Dak is under *no threat* of Jerry moving on from him. So Dak's agent just keeps squeezing for more. Why not?

Wentz and goff make more than $32 million. His numbers say hes better than both over a 4 year career so why would he take less. Also.doesnt say what guarantees and length of contract. Throwing a # out there means absolutely nothing

I've said the same thing in the other 43 Dak threads. Give him a number, put him under non exclusive, and see where it goes.

But Jerry is in major hearts with the guy. He thinks his time is short and this is he best chance to win a Super Bowl.

But mostly it's Todd France who is pushing the limit. I believe if Dak and Jerry got together, they'd work something out. France is all about making a name for himself and garnering major clients for CAA. He doesn't care if the Cowboys keep anyone other than Dak. He could give a cripple crickets *** about Super Bowls.

Or maybe he's also listening to his new coach who also thinks Prescott is their franchise QB and not to let him get away. So I will side with what actual NFL coach says over a fan playing GM every time.

Could be. Gotta think also that Big Mc is aware Jerry is in hearts with Qwak. Do you think he's going to sabotage the relationship he has with Jerry? Not likely. If he wants to keep this job he'll toe the company line set down by the Kingdom of Jerry.

Qwak isn't going to lose you games, but he's not going to win many with his arm. Either Big Mc has to teach him, or Jerry has JAG.

What's interesting is Rivera had talks with some of the QBs at the combine. Its reported the Commanders are now considering Phillip Rivers. The Patriots also looked at the QBs. Reports say they are interested in Marcus Mariota. Could be smokescreen or could be they didn't see anything better than the available free agents.

It's so funny when people keep saying with Prescott's arm. The same QB that until week 16 last season led the league in passing yards. The same QB that until week 15 led all QB's with completions of 20+ yards. The same QB that until week 16 lead all QB's in completions of 40+ yards. Ya that really sounds like he has a problem with his arm.

Most with any sense believe that Prescott won't be leaving the Cowboys so making any comments rumors or not that any team would be interested in Prescott is foolishness. They won't comment on something they truly believe won't be available.

Lastly you can believe that McCarthy wouldn't tell Jones what he really thinks about Prescott or any player if you want but again most believe that McCarthy wouldn't have taken the job if he had to have a gag over his mouth on his evaluations of any player.

I think the only quack here is you.

Winning a game with your arm doesn't mean yards. Jameis Winston had more passing yard that Qwak. But winning a game with your arm means getting the ball in the end zone. Scoring. Yard never have won games.

Now, I've already posted Qwak's red zone numbers. I even posted the link.
What I didn't post is Qwak's completion percentage inside the 20 is 52.4%, inside the 10 it drops to 47.7%.

I know Uncle Jerry is not letting Qwak go. He's in hearts with the guy. But if you read the Yahoo thread posted a week ago you'd know that, at that time, about 7 out 9, were for getting Qwak out of Dallas. And most who wanted Dallas to keep him were Philly, Giant, or other teams fans and made no bones about saying so.

Lastly, do you tell your boss you don't like the decisions he makes?

Until you have some real numbers, some real world logic, there can be no discussion.

Have it your way.

Ooh wow yahoo sports. Ya so many quote yahoo sports as their primary sports site. Yahoo who first started as a search engine then moved into emails and then moved into sports. Ya a real world wide leader in sports. Oh maybe someday you'll actually learn how to spell quack. Oh and my employer isn't paying millions of dollars to head up my company but I have told him about certain procedures that he changed telling him that the same procedures have been tried before and didn't work better. He's been with the company for only a year where I've been there for many. He didn't take any action towards me and did thank me for the input but said he would continue with his procedures. I didn't go storming into his office and yell just like I'm sure McCarthy doesn't just go into Jerry's office and just yell. I'm also sure that Jerry has asked for McCarthy's his honest evaluation of Prescott.

Just because you don't like Prescott by no means that everyone feels the same especially professionals that work directly with the player and not make their assumptions while sitting on their couch.

You will let all of us know when some team offers you a GM positions won't you?

Well it's what he's going to get, especially if you're going to say "here's our offer take it or leave it."

It doesn't matter if he's better, it matters when he's signing.

I'd start looking for a good replacement for Rush. Somebody that could legitimately fill in if Dak keeps holding out.
That might just get his attention.

What they should of been doing is looking at QBs in the upcoming draft and looking at FAs like Rivers or Brady. But at this point just franchise him since its less than he wants and they better look at drafting a QB. If Hebert falls to them in the first round they would be wise to take him.
