Whaddya want on your pizza?

My trifecta for toppings are pepperoni, jalapenos, and bacon(real bacon not "Canadian"). After that, maybe some onions, sausage and mushrooms added to it.

Johnny I worked at Pizza Inn too for about a year when I was in high school. I was just a basic pizza maker. They taught me how to twirl the dough and there was a kiddie window where kids would walk up and watch the pizza makers put on a “dough show”.

I had a great time working there. One of the best pranks I’ve ever seen pulled happened when I worked there! Still laugh about it.

We had a Taco Bell across the street and sometimes we would call TB and ask if they would trade 3 large pizzas for a dozen tacos and they would usually agree.

Down the street was our big rival Pizza Hut. One night we called Pizza Hut posing as Taco Bell people and said we would love to trade 3 large pizzas in exchange for a dozen tacos. (This was before “caller ID”, lol) The Hut folks were all over it.

About 30 min later me and my PI buddies watched the Taco Bell parking lot with binoculars and saw the Hut guy delivering a big stack of pizzas. We could see the TB manager shake his head no. We were howling with laughter. The Pizza Hut guy had to head back to Hut with those pizzas and no tacos. Ah the joys of phone pranks are long gone.
Hey, which one did you work at? I eat at the one in NRH from time to time.

Something I've discovered lately is "Detroit Style" pizza. It's basically similar to Chicago deep dish but cut in squares and has some crispy goodness on the ends. Where I'm at in Florida, Jet's Pizza is the way to go, and I like pretty much all meat toppings. Speaking of which, there is a place here called Wildwoods (I think) that makes a bunch of specialty pizzas. One of them is a Cuban pizza with ham, pork and pickles. It's really good in my opinion. I know the pickles may have some saying yuck, but it works just like a Cuban sandwich.

My favorite is sausage, green peppers and onions.

One style that’s very good. Sounds odd but is very good. My pop pop used to get it regularly: broccoli, onions and bacon.
