No thanks to Clowney. He wants way too much $$$. He is injury prone, and disappears at times.
We will get Gregory back, as already mentioned. Also mention we can get Quinn for much cheaper.

Plus they still like Armstrong, Jells and Jackson as role players when needed.

Oh, basically like the free agent signings the Patriots have done to keep their team moving in the right direction. Just my opinion!
I didn't say it was a bad thing, just not gonna excite people, its not what the DC do.

Said this in another thread...Quinn ought to come much cheaper, BUT if the numbers on him end up being like 5/60 with a couple of full guaranteed years, you may as well think about going a little higher for Clowney.

It's not gonna happen though. Clowney is for a team that doesnt have Lawrence. Or, well....isnt already PAYING Lawrence money at DE.

It's also quite possible....if not likely, that BPA at 17 is one of the edge guys.

Lawrence, Quinn, Gregory and say, Chiasson...are better way to allocate resources than two bank breaking salaries at DE.

It's all predicated on Quinn back at a reasonable figure, which is getting less and less likely each day, considering they are trying to get him signed.

Not a chance. He's looking to reset the market and surpass DLAW's contract. Apparently his agent has made this clear to teams showing interest.

So is Quinn..

How fast Quinn gets around the edge is super rare.. He comes off the ball like an olympic sprinter.
I’m with you but a lot on here don’t think so. Just in pass game not overall. I still want him.

Hes athletic but he has yet to have an elite year.
Hes good against the run and pass but not dominate

And if you liked hearing "We paid all this money to DLaw for 5 sacks", you will love hearing it about Clowney.

See....and what exactly happens??

Clowney isnt getting more than 100M.

I would WAY rather pay Clowney than pay Quinn what he got...again...IF it got there....and it did.

Then again, it proves all you need is one idiot suitor...and the Bears have never really proven to be much better than that.

Trading up for Trubisky. Trading for Mack but still having to do this w Quinn....

Danny Shelton (NE), Shelby Harris (DEN), Bea Allen (Tampa), Michael Pierce (BAL)

Would rather have 2 of those 4 DT's for near half the price of Clowney and then spent the remaining cap on other needs (Safety and WR #3 can come via draft).

ASHAWN ROBINSON AND QUINTAN JEFFERSON.
Cheaper then above and younger.
Plus there fattys who would demand double teams
