Just remember..

How many times have we been totally disappointed with this team and drafting.

Trystan Hill, Taco, Gregory, Quincy Carter, Vander Esch, Jaylon Smith, on and on. Even Tank who for his first 2 years was a bust and caused us to draft Gregory becuz Tank was suspended and injured and looking like a bust.

Ridley was a unanimous choice as we had lost Dez and desparately needed him and they took Wolf Hunter knowing he had a neck issue, etc.

We just can't do any reaching or trying to double down on a risk selection this year.

But you watch.

Bet we have at least 1 or 2 picks like that.

So thinking the draft is going to fix anything is reaching.

What I have been saying, we are going to put all of our eggs in one basket called the draft and after the last 3, I am not feeling good that we are going to nail all the picks.

Never said the draft was going to fix anything. More so, hold my complaining until after.

Yep.

For every pick they make, it is never what the 'experts' think.

When Martin was picked, most of us said 'who'?

Same with Beard, 'who'?

So I expect to be watching Kiper screw up his face and start shaking his head 'no' when it's announced at 17.

I'm sure I will not be disappointed.

:omg:

The Cowboys lost five key players in a little more than 24 hours, after the so-called tampering period began.
Randall Cobb goes to Texans
Robert Quinn goes to the Bears
Jason Witten goes to the Raiders
Jeff Heath goes to the Raiders
M. Collins goes to the Raiders
Xavier Sua Fila goes to Bengals

Who did they lose that can't be replaced?

Still waiting to see Maliek Collins' contract. Googled it and didn't see any numbers, but if it hasn't been reported yet, it's probably cheap.

Anyway, I have long been the Collins cheerleader on this forum, but he is a guy I would have liked to retain. #8 PFF pass rushing grade among interior DL, #4 in ESPN's pass rush win rate among interior DL. That's a lot of pressure we could have kept on the cheap.

I like McCoy and think we'll be fine at 3T, but I don't think he's a better pass rusher than Collins straight-up, and he is 7 years older and probably 2x as expensive.
It is kind of odd it hasnt been reported

Tbh, would have like to have spent a little more amd kept Heath instead of Thompson. I like Heath alot as a 3rd Safety. Thompson was out right bad

We all know, that Dallas will draft a player with an injury background.

But we got the smartest LB in the league Lee back, too bad he'll be injured for six weeks and he's too damn slow to make a play. Sheesh

The Cowboys lost five key players in a little more than 24 hours, after the so-called tampering period began.

Cornerback Byron Jones agreed to the largest deal for a cornerback in NFL history, agreeing to an $82.5 million contract. Defensive end Robert Quinn also got an enormous deal, with the Chicago Bears agreeing to terms with him on a $70 million contract. Defensive tackle Maliek Collins and tight end Jason Witten, who each started all 16 games for the Cowboys last season, both left for the Las Vegas Raiders. Receiver Randall Cobb, who had 828 yards last season, got a deal from the Houston Texans worth $9 million per season.

None of those players have the star power of Prescott or Cooper. No one player in that group was going to make or break the 2020 Cowboys. But added all together? That’s a lot to lose, and free agency hasn’t even officially started yet.

goodness. People act like this only happens to the cowboys. Guess what? Teams lose (and gain players) every year. Nothing new to see here...

Need to nail the draft.

Secondary a major concern - it hasn't been addressed in FA and we lost Jones.
