Look what Lawrence did for Quinn. Take a generous 12mil deal and go into FA next yr and cash in. Bet on yourself and prove your worth it. Quinn was a afterthought in Miami before the guy on the other side of Dallas' DL took all the attention and gave him new life on his career. He could do the same for Clowney IMO
pipedream. 3rd down D-Line... Gregory-McCoy-Clowney-Lawrence... I would definitely do it. This is how you improve your defense.

I don't like clowneys injury history, and I also don't trust DLAW. I understand that he was double teamed, but surely half way through the season teams adjusted that because of Quinn wreaking havoc right? I'd love to trade DLaw to the jags and work out a long-term deal for Ngakoue who doesn't run his mouth and is not happy in Jacksonville.

I heard Seattle wanted to keep him except for his asking price. If Clowney was willing to take that deal with Dallas, I assume Seattle could lock him up.

nope. PASS. Quickest way to kill a new coaching regime and plan is to bring in a guy like Clowney expecting him to be something he isn't. McCoy is a special player still and highly productive and good leader up front we sorely lacked. I doubt Clowney would be a good team mate and listen to him. We need to draft a guy.

He looks like the next demarcus Lawrence. People can say he doesnt have the bend and try and minimize his game. But all you gotta do is look at his tape. The guy is very quick off the snap and never stops. He dominated his comp. He's a natural strong side rusher, wether thats a 4-3 or a 3-4. He could've had more sacks but BSU used him in drop coverage alot.
Lol....everything you said was wrong.

Clowney is not a good fit for us.

Clowney is not a pass rushing specialist. He plays the run great. But thats it. Just look at what he can give you. He never had more then 9.5 sacks. Clowney is a LDE. We have DLaw already there.

And then Clowney is always hurt and i question his motivation.

We need a pass rushing specialis. And a big DT who can colapse the pocket inside or at least demands double teams all the time.

AT 20 mil potentially per, its an easy pass. The production doesn't equate the expenditure.

There comes a point when you need to just flat out improve your football team..you can't always think value value value...what on earth is this team going to do if it saves 4-5M in cap space and doesn't use it? Roll it over to next year? That's what you want? Yeah, I don't think so..stop pinching pennies and sign some good players..this defense is in desperate need of talent..let's save 3m so we can sign another Canady at cb..sounds amazing
