I thought Romo got a little too Hollywood with the locker room. He had his guys like Witten and Miles Austin, but when I saw him on the National Enquirer with Jessica Simpson, I knew it was over. :(

Under Garrett, it was basically an offense and a defense. No cohesion, nothing. You need a REAL HC to get all the pieces working together under one commander.

This just confirms to me that coaching was the primary problem. Ware recognizes that the team had the talent. He feels the camaraderie was missing, and it might have been, but to me, if your team has the talent, it's up to the coach to pull it together.
It seems to me that he was talking more about the quality players all thinking they were the special ones, and they didn't feel like they needed to listen to anyone else.

Gary Kubiak? He was as bad as JG in Houston. I think more organizational. How are people pointing to coaching

The HC is the biggest part of the "organizational" thing. At least he is supposed to be. A puppet like Garrett...........not so much.

Like Dez Bryant? Like Romo not liking Garrett? Like the OC not liking Garrett or fighting over play calling? Like Garrett fighting to keep the play calling duties? ect.......ect........ect.......

And all of it really being caused by the lack of accountability and circus that Jerry creates.

Agreed 100%. I remember watching him throw a ball around to his receivers, before a game, with Jessica or one of his other girlfriends of the month standing by his side on the field. Sorry, there’s no way anyone could ever convince me that’s not a distraction not to mention a bad look. In the meantime you got guys like Hardy knocking clipboards out of coaches hands, Jerry strutting around on the sideline...what could go wrong?

I get that but Kubiak was horrible for years. Honestly I lived in Houston his whole regime and would visit their boards. It beat Garrett hate by a mile. His game time decisions were horrible. They just had a better set up..QB not making mistakes, tough D etc.

Good thing we got guys like Zeke...he’s all about the team  While his teammates are getting ready in the pre season he’s holding out in Cabo shopping for purses and demanding to be paid the most ever for his position with 2 years left on his contract but I’ve been told by other posters that his holdout never effected the team.

What does Ware know about winning championships?!

Your posting is effective to the forum.

The too many chiefs and not enough indians was a saying Demarcus started using right after the 08 season. When interviewed at the end of the 09 season he said the difference between the 08 season and the 09 season was that the team was just one big group and not individuals like it was in 08.

Wade phillips was Ware's head coach here in that time period and his defensive coordinator in Denver when they won the super bowl in 2015.

Few players have been wronged by an organization the way Demarcus Ware was in Dallas. Not sure if it was that big dummy stephen jones or the other one garrett but they went all in on "Ware can't play anymore because of his injury and was too expensive"....Absolutely incredibly stupid stuff.

Dallas then made it to the divisional round where one or two sacks in the second half could have won the game and Ware was in Denver.

Then in 15 they give Hardy ware's money and he proceeds to be a complete waste and ware sacks brady twice in the fourth quarter of the afc championship game.

That is Jerry and Stephen Jones in a nutshell.

Some truth to this. You hear he was a bit of a diva there. Jerry’s boy. Had his own set of rules.

oh please by all means tell us what his rules were.

I also happen to know for a fact Ware and Romo are big fans of each other. They were leaders on this team and never spoke a bad word about any teammates or coaches. They took the hits for the organizations failures for years because they were the two best players.

They both were kicked out like garbage.

and people still put it on them. Funny stuff.

I used to work with a girl that was best friends with Romos college girlfriend. She hated the Cowboys because of Romo and how he treated people in general. Said that he literally acted like he was better than everyone else to include his girlfriend. I personally didnt care. He was my QB and I dont know him personally but I can see how a locker room can become divided with a personality like that at QB.

Not only does Ware's comments point out to the leadership from the top on down, it also has to do with the type of character issues some of the players we draft and sign have. I dont mind a couple of players JJ likes to take a chance with , but character With Skill wins championships.
Something the Dallas Cowboys havent done for almost Three decades now.

these comments are not even new from ware. He used the exact same words to describe the teams failure after the 08 season to babe laufenberg. Then explained at the end of 09 how much different 09 was from 08. The differences were. Wade and Garrett were on notice, owens, pacman, tank were gone and replaced by team first guys in austin and brooking etc....then most importantly Romo was not injured and played the whole season.
