Figure out a way to trade for Jamal Adams. If it takes a 1st, 4th, and one other pick either this year or next year (3rd or 4th comp pick next year perhaps), then so be it. The Chaisson kid from LSU is way too small to play RDE in the NFL - he got manhandled vs. high end college LTs and is NOT the guy to take at 17.

Best case scenario is Jeudy/Lamb/Ruggs are there at 17 and the Jets want to add to their WR core & are willing to move Jamal Adams.

If not - we need to move ahead of Atlanta to get Kinlaw or Henderson if they’re available (Atlanta has very similar needs as us & they’re a problem sitting 1 spot ahead of us).

If not - take McKinney and solidify the safety positions with HaHa and McKinney, they would be the best safety duo this team has had in quite some time, but I’d much rather have HaHa and Adams & I honestly don’t care what it takes.

Same, though I'd feel much better knowing Smith and Gregory were reinstated if Dallas went this route.

What they should do is avoid all picks for players trades, decide before the draft that they are not moving up in the first and have a trade back in the first partner already on the hook.

Giving up multiple picks for a big contract at the safety position doesn't get me excited.
I felt the same way a week ago when I got in an argument with KD Drummond on twitter lol, but Jamal Adams is a guarantee and a proven all-pro. I think this team has ignored the safety positions long enough (even though Adams is probably going to command a ~$100m/5yr deal). I think it’s time to bite the bullet and get a back end stud in a pass happy league.

Its just not smart business to trade multiple picks for a strong safety or one that has 2 years left on his deal.

You have a situation where you have Xavier Woods at strong safety. You have Ha Ha at free safety.

Now I'm not denying Jamal would a upgrade there but I could really help my corner or defensive line and make those positions a strength.

We have too many holes now and in the future to trade for adams. I'd rather use the 17th pick on a CB who will be here the next 4-5 years than a SS who will be here 2. We have 2 CB leaving next year and lost our best CB this off season.

Thank god you have nothing to do with our draft. You would completely screw it up. Jamal Adams wants too much. You underestimate Chaison at 17. He's our guy and now we have more picks to get more talent. You make this harder than it has to be.

Chaisson's size is fine for the new scheme we will be utilizing.

There hasn't been one good argument in here for why Dallas shouldn't trade for Adams

It's completely the wrong time to give up so much draft stock on one player, even a safety. We have multiple weak links on defense. We have to properly address them all. And yes, it may take two years to get it all done but it sure as hell isn't happening by given up so much for Jamal Adams.

If you are going to give up a 1st + more for Adams why not do it before the trade deadline last season? If you can get him for #17 straight up i'm all about it, but why is Adams more valuable now that he has less time on his contract?

Talking heads mostly unanimous their guys are Henderson and Chaisson. Henderson won't be there because only two corners are considered worthy blue chippers. If you trade for an all pro you better be able to pay him. This team would have a handful taking up the cap, a lot of cheap filler and not much between.

It’s not close

No trade for Adams for #17
He will he holding out next year for a new contract
Too much draft capital and money

Draft Kinlaw if he’s there
If he’s not, trade down
