Ah yes, let's trade our 5,000 yard, 30-TD, top-5 accuracy, 26 y.o QB, and whatever other player could have been had at 17, for a huge question mark.
Ah yes, lets let our below average vs winning team, stat-padding, poor mechanics QB hold this franchise hostage and pay him over $35m a season just because we are too scared to take a chance on a young talented QB in the draft.

Some fans continue to tease themselves with rookie QB fantasies. Jerry isn't going that route.

It doesn't matter if I like it, you like it, or no one likes it.

Jordan Love has more upside and already has a better arm than Dak.
The video I posted gives all the right reasons to move on from Dak.
So does Josh Allen.

Doesn't mean you made the trade. You literally hope Love turns into what Dak was last year.

No bigger waste of 17 than taking Love there
Taking Love at 17 would be dumber then the Commanders drafting Haskins in the first round last year. He needs to sit for about two years to break his bad habits and learn a pro system. He has a chance but will he be a top 5 quarterback? I don’t see it.

You would've said the same thing about Dak Coming out of college.

Dak is a 4th round pick. He is one of the best 4th round picks in the history of the game. 4th round picks rarely do anything.

First round QBs have a much higher success rate in the NFL . The risk of drafting Love is justified.
Unless Dak greatly benefits from new coaching he's reached his ceiling at this point.
And he cannot carry this team . The team carries him.

This is just a poster putting his bid in so he can say “I told you so....” and say he was his pet cat. If he goes on to fail you won’t hear from this poster ever again on the subject.

Sure you will. i've admitted my mistakes in the past.
I was all over Lil Jordan Humphrey last year.
and Reuben Foster before that.

Love is a good prospect but he wont be ready for atleast a year,if Dak doesnt want to sign a 5 year deal then Jerry should consider drafting him.

If you can get Love it's worth it.
Well no it's not. You're getting worse at QB and missing out on another player.

If you're just trying to tank and win 3 years from now and rebuild then fine, but that's not where Dallas is, and there's 0 legitimate argument that Love improves this team immediately over Dak.

It's rare a rookie QB makes an immediate impact.
However Love could beat Dak in his second year.
We already know what we have in Dak.
Love has more potential and already has a better arm.

Dak threw for 5,000 yards (accounting for drops), was top-5 in accuracy, top-5 in air yards, had over 30 TDs, and threw 7 INTs that weren't drops or Hail Marys.

What exactly do you think Love is going to be? It doesn't get much better than Dak was last year.

Love threw a ton of picks this past season and pretty much gave me EJ Manuel vibes watching his film.

Strong arm or not, doesn't mean a damn thing if you're throwing to the other team. Love is the type of player will have a GM in the unemployment line picking him in the 1st round.

Kellerman and the other dude make a clear undebatable and irrefutable case for Jordan Love at #17.

Love is already making throws Dak cannot make in year 4 as a pro.

S.A.S. only defending Dak because he wants him to sign a cap busting contract and keep the Cowboys in mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

I dont see how Dak is signing a "cap busting contract."

Like him or not, the going rate for a starting QB is at least 25M, more like 30, and all reports are that he wants a SHORTER term, which mitigates the chance of a massive dead money scenario.

Other than replacing him w a rookie, I don't see the alternative.

And...either that rookie fails, or begins to demand his 40M annually before too long.

Off point now, but I have NO idea why the team is balking at the short term deal.
