I own Dak and Zeke jerseys. I don't have #88 for the Playmaker or Dez. But I'd imagine if I did, I wouldn't buy another #88 jersey just because Cee Dee has it. Wouldn't make sense to me.

Cowboys would sell way more #10 jerseys if Jerry just lets Cee Dee wear what he wants.

I hate to see men have to wear another man's name on their back but if it floats your boat. I think if you just stay generic with a number, it says it all. 88 would be one of the best ones to have without a name.

Everyone will be happy besides Cowboys fans and the actual player wearing the jersey.

This is a horrible look for Jerry Jones and I can not believe they went through with this.
@CATCH17 speaks for all of Cowboys fans:facepalm:
Now we have Lamb Haters:lmao2:

I don’t want to assume he was forced 88 but I would have preferred #10. That way people don’t have to check the back to see what Jersey you got on. Unless, you are one of the few rockin a, Tavon Austin lol.
“When we were, this is a little drama from our perspective, when we were all sitting there and had said our piece, and then we said, ‘okay, what’s it going to be?’ I said in honor of my great friend that just passed this year we’re going to have his namesake come on here and wear old number 88,” Jones said, via RJ Ochoa of Blogging the Boys. “Just like Michael and Dez and those guys, and we’ve got us a wide receiver. And let me tell you one thing if he’s got the competes and heart of that Jerry Lamb he’ll be bad to the bone.”

Don't have to assume when all you have to do is listen to Jerry's own comment.

But yeah, I'd much rather rock a #10 and know who it's for rather than trying to figure out which retread of #88 that someone is wearing.

I like it. I've been putting a piece of duct tape over my #88 Irvin jersey since like 92.Plus I've got other super serious stuff to worry about like how Roy Williams feels about Diggs wearing #31. I heard Diggs want #32. Jerry must hate us all and his yellow jacket should be stripped from him like hot wax from the pelvic area. Quick like!

They didnt win alone. Its a team game. Dez could have won with Jimmy, Aikman, and Emmitt too.

Would've could've should've.... as one Don Meredith used to say "If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas."...

ebay.
got both a home and road Dez 88 a few years ago...didnt pay over $30 for either....and they aren't knock-offs.
i keep tellin' people....go to ebay.

Yup, bought a throwback Thanksgiving $30 jersey, also bought a $15 name plate for it. Will have a former relative sew on Lamb. Also bought a Woodson name plate for the Jones jersey I have. Downside is these are taking forever to get here. Upside is we probably won't have a season so it won't matter.

Jerry will get what he wants. Jerry's teammate who recently died wore #88, and Jerry wants to honor his friend. I get it.

You get what? That Jerry's buddy wore #88 like 60 years ago and so it's totally reasonable to demand for someone else to wear #88?

CeeDee Lamb's parents likely weren't even born when random Jerry friend was wearing #88.

And for the record, I don't believe for a single second this has anything to do with "honoring" Jerry's friend. This is about Jerry trying to relive the glory days. This is Jerry's way of reminiscing about the last time he was successful in the NFL.

I'm pulling this from Page 2 and y'all are on Page 9 so I'm sure this has been hotly debated until now (lol) but the way I see this, Jerry is meddling. An 88 Lamb is special to Jerry, not Cee Dee. And your top boss "asking for a favor" is not some independent, neutral decision a newbie gets to make, it's influence (especially without a contract signed yet). So to me, the Dez thing and the legacy number thing is secondary to this crap by Jerry.

Personally, I wanted Lamb to wear 11 (1+1 = 2) but it should be his decision regardless and not be leaned on to do a favor. Then again, if Lamb balls out, Jerry will pay him handily, and with that favor on the books, I can see Cee Dee (or more likely his agent) taking a long-game approach here too to get after the numbers that REALLY matter.

Maybe they should have stopped handing out 88 after Irvin. No one else where 88 has got a ring on their finger

Please stop it.

We know he wanted #10. He is having it forced on him.

He was going to wear 10 and Jerry stepped in.

Maybe he originally wanted 10 as he didn’t want to ask for 88 knowing it’s history and all and thought that it would presumptuous or egotistical to ask for 88. I’m guessing he feels honored to be asked to wear the legendary 88 Cowboys jersey. At least he should be.
