I don’t necessarily mean you. I mean the others who hilariously think that the cowboys should just not sit Dak and use Dalton as a starter. Which is preposterous.

I want Dak for the most team friendly deal possible too.

I also think Dalton is a great signing as a backup. But if he had to start all season...... no thank you.
But one could justify it if Dak holds out, and with the weapons we have and offensive coaches we might do well. No debating who is better, but Dalton is more than serviceable.

Definitely diminishes the power of a Dak holdout.

Tannehill got a truckload because he has done something Dak hasnt done yet. Take his team to the AFC Championship game

Jags wouldnt do it because they are re-building

Lol “took”. He completed 15 combined passes at a 50 pct clip In those two games

I believe a lot of us are saying the same thing. Gary is right but now the market has been set. Why would the Titans pay Tannehill what they did?
Dak is better than Tannehill but he just got paid a ridiculous contract. I actually have a thread that explains how much money get gets over three years.
He signed a 4 year 118 million contract.
Year one salary 17.5 + 20 million dollar bonus.= 37.5 in pocket
Year two salary 24.5 guaranteed = 62 million guaranteed.
Year three salary 29 million.
The kicker is his year 3 salary fully guarantees on the 5th league day of 2021 (injury guaranteed now).
Which basically means if he makes it to March of the 2021 year, he will have 91 million guaranteed over 3 years.
Yes QB contract are out of control.
If Jerry wants to get rid of Dak, I would also sign Cam

There’s a difference between using it as leverage and somebody wanting Dalton to be the full time starter. Which again, is stupid.

I like the Dalton signing as a back up.

He’s right. They would pay him $35 million. The going rate now.

I don't think the signing is anything more then, having a veteran, quality backup. They saw what happened with Brees and Mahomes last year. Having a quality backup QB is needed.

I know you dont want to go there. Do I have to bring up all the games Dak was carried to wins?

I dont see you homers use it against him

you don’t have to do anything, (not that you could) because I’m neither a homer nor a hater. Remove Dak from the equation, Tannehill was a non factor in the playoffs. Vrabel, Henry and the D bullied their way to the conference championship.

Now his insane qbr and efficient play in the regular season was legit and worthy of mention

Corny

Without inserting Tannehill into the starting lineup, Titans dont even make the playoffs.

U dak bots would be slobbering all over yourselves if we got to the Championship game under the same circumstances
You just made a misguided comment about Tannehill is all. It’s ok. Lots of ways to inject your Dak hate into any thread, you just happened to make a bad choice of tools to do your anti-Dak work. Go back to the toolbox and find a better one for the next go round

Tannehill helped his team get to a first round playoff game with a strong half season.

In their two wins he hurt them more than he helped and the only reason why they won either was that Henry mutated into an absolute monster and their defense was terrific.

The fact that you mentioned Brady in the same sentence as Cousins and Foles says all anyone needs to know about you.

True, that he can make valid points that are relevant to the topic.

my fault I didn’t read the whole thread and saw you were already made to look foolish. Didn’t mean to kick sand in your face. You really should relax with the corny insults though, especially when you lack the ability to make any valid points or defend a position with any substance. Try not being a cornball sometime

I see it's a fact because some sportswriter tweeted it? Your fact is nothing more than an opinion. You want a fact, Prescott when the off season started was the number 1 ranked free agent of ALL players with expiring contracts and remained as such until the Cowboys tagged him. The price of contracts go up EVERY season, ESPECIALLY QB's and EVERY GM knew that if Prescott were to be tagged that the price for him would be higher than 30 mil so all interested teams would also know what Prescott's agent was demanding so would have to offer much more than the tagged amount. It's amazing what common sense does.

obviously Dallas thinks somebody would...other wise they wouldn't have used the franchise tag and let him find out.
