Is Jourdan Lewis going to be the odd man out?

If we are going to be a press man d Lewis cant play outside. Hes not fast enough.

Yes. Size and measurabels? No doubt. They didn't take many corners that look like Jourdan Lewis this year. And Jourdan Lewis is on a one year deal. He's probably out of here.

Lewis who has spent his career thus far as a backup only seeing any playing time with the starters because of injuries to starting corners. He did have a couple of good games but he's not what most would call trade bait. He's more like the type of player that if a trade is being made that he would be thrown in as a sweetener.

I have no idea what will happen with him. That's what training camp figures out.

I think some of you guys overrate Lewis, he has got burned multiple times. He isn't the best corner on the team but he is a decent player. Problem is he is best suited for the outside but he isn't a press corner and isn't what the coaches are looking for when it comes to height. I think it's only fair to Lewis to be traded to a team that will play him and allow him to play to his strengths. High character guy that's a good player deserves that chance

I did not "prop him up".......and didn't we discuss last time? Just because you throw a shot at Nipsey does not mean you will get me riled up lol. You hide behind a anonymous alias. you need 4 CBs at least. I think Chidobe is going to move to Saftey unless he plays lights out at CB or he sucks as safety. Riggs is a CB. that leaves Brown, Lewis and Robinson. Robinson is taller, yes, but he is also from a small school and a rookie who is going to miss mini camps and God knows about training camp. I think the battle is between Brown and Lewis for the slot CB.,

Now that we have a competent coaching staff he’ll get the chance in training camp to earn the starting job. He’s earned the right to compete. Who knows how the competition will turn out.

Hard to say. At this point, I don't see that he's gotten a fair shake to prove it either way.

He played a ton last season when Brown went out. I agree he hasn't gotten a fair shot but he hasn't looked lock down when he had played a ton of snaps. I feel like Lewis needs to go to a team where his skill set fits better. It's clear what these coaches want in their corners, look at who they brought in......6 ft 1 guys that can play press man. Diggs and Robinson are two of the best in the draft at press man. Heck Robinson played without safety help on a island and did so in press man all game. That's impressive. I like Lewis but if he isn't the type of corner they want then he deserves to go to a team that needs his service instead of sitting on the bench and wasting his career.

I do feel like people here overrate Lewis though

I remember when we drafted Awuzie and Lewis people (myself included) were talking about the great value and how we might have landed two future starters.

The writing is on the wall. If Diggs seems to be working out, there's a good chance they try to deal Lewis.

We lost Byron and brought in Worley, Diggs, and Robinson. among others. All the CBs we brought in are 6-1 or more. Lewis is listed as 5-10.

IMO Lewis is the best corner on the team. I get they want length, but there are always exceptions to the rule. If they want him in the slot fine, but he should not only make the team, he should play, and a lot.
