Opinion: Dak will not take a offer less than Deshuan Watson’s value

With Bill O'Brien at the helm he may give Watson a 40mil contract or trade him for a 3rd and a 7th.

Yes, that's a legit concern.

Look no further than how that idiot affected our team already by overpaying for a #3 receiver in Randall Cobb. And he traded two #1 picks and then paid $22 million a year for Laremy Tunsil. Other teams stupidity can negatively affect your team if you allow them to.

If Dak was truly intelligent, he’d be taking every opportunity to watch film, workout, keep in contact with teammates and coaches, etc., etc., as much as humanly possible. He wouldn’t be “holding out” and missing the team’s virtual offseason stuff. He’d be preparing as much as possible to maximize his success in his 33 million dollar franchise tag year. The better he does, the more leverage he gains for his future contract negotiations.

am I missing something?

It should be really interesting to see Jerry and Stephen react to that juicy bit of info! :omg:
The franchise tag is already seeming like a life saver to them. Now, what'll that do? :muttley:
It seems as though Dak's agent has done a yeoman's job of pumping up Dak's ego.

Kirk Cousin or Russell Wilson scenario.
He gets paid regardless.

I thought this was all a joke and he was just wanting a shorter deal to get paid again sooner after winning a SB with this crop of players..

if he indeed wants to reset the QB market he needs his head checked and I question the surrounding cast around him

anything more than 36mill is ridiculous... just roll with Dalton... trade Dak and get whatever you can and draft a QB and move on

I can't believe I'm responding to your cheese post but here goes short and sweet.

Both WATSON and MAHOMES will have a new contract before Dak!

P.S. Tell your buddy Dak he will be lucky to get the TAG cash this year....
Lucky to get $31.5M for a season:lmao2::lmao2:
What was bad luck $2.5M back in 2019 Off-season?

CAA aren't idiots.. Players aren't starving. This isn't the 20th Century nobody believes your "snakes and ladders" contract parameters.

The players have endorsements. They don't come at the table begging or "lucky" to bet on themselves and earn a $29M raise..

CAA and players see the FANG money coming down the pipeline..Facebook, Apple, Netflixs and Google all want inside the grid iron and players know social media better than owners.

Dak is the new norm.. lucky :lmao::facepalm:

Sigh waited way too long. This should have been done right after Goff or Wentz deals

I see people keep posting these statements but I’m willing to bet you money Jerry and Co. attempting to offer Dak an extension a year ago, but Dak and his people weren’t having it. It’s Jerry’s m.o. to extend players before they hit free agency. Perhaps he just couldn’t with Romo or Zeke or Dak because those players camps wanted to drag their feet.

Dak will not take a low ball offer from Jerry until Deshuan Watson gets a deal.

Dak is more accomplished in all categories for QB than entitled choking *** Watson.

Dak news floor is 40 million a year.

so tired of this Dak contract issue stuff....i understand football players deserve to get money for playing such a violent game...but dang Dak how much do you need?...35 mil a year not enough?...other positions endure worse violence of

game and dont get a 1/3 of that.....yes i understand quarterback most important...but if i was a teammate in the trenches being smashed up every sunday and only getting 3 million i might have a lot or resentment for someone not happy

with 30 + milllion a year...just saying...thats all

i bet when he got signed in 4th round if someone said..Dak would you be happy if you could make 30+ million for your whole NFL life?..he would have said ..heck ya man...but now 30+ million a year not good enough...what about the players who routinely get so beat up in the trenches that their football career is usually 5 years or less and they happy to make 3 million a year....i can see resentment building up and with good reason..just saying that is all

Watson is the perfect example that exemplifies “makes his team better”. Wasn’t he the most sacked QB in the league? Kinda expect that with a 3 man offense compiled of him, Hopkins, and Tunsil who still managed to get to 10-6 and 11-5 in back to back seasons. But go ahead and compare their stats to fill your agenda.

Who gives a ****, it's not my money. And all the money Jerry's saved over 25 years has done what?

You can't 'hold out' if you're not signed to begin with.
