I don't see how he is going to get the electric bill paid with only 175 million.

Gotta get that 185.

He could get the electric bill paid with $100M but no one’s saying he should take that. He deserves to ask for what he believes his market value is and he’s not wrong about that.

Give him the $45M for the 5th year.

It's pretend money anyway. He'll never see it.

I'm not sure why this isn't obvious, lol.

I mean maybe he will get that money if he's any good, but if he sucks none of that money is guaranteed anyway so you can just cut him.

like stash said i dont even care anymore. Worlds under attack by a virus, not easy coming across work or money right now, Hardly able to leave the house for anything other then groceries, and im running out of video games in my back log to finish and movies to watch on netflix. I really just dont care about Dak anymore. Getting to the point where i dont care if he walks or is shipped off. Never been a Dak hater other then some light hearted trolling this offseason, but if he continues his crap after being offered to be the highest paid QB and player in NFL history then just leave already so we can draft a QB in the first next year.

Don’t know why they won’t. If you are sold he’s going to take the next step you should have no issue with 45M in year 5 as that’s gonna be the going rate for franchise passers anyway.

If you have any reservation you would welcome a 4 year deal as to get out faster. Don’t see the logic.
They are trying to get a bargain in that 5th year. At least that's what I think. That's so far from now you don't know how things unfold. They want to be the smartest guys in the room and that 5th year at 35 is how they do it.

So this is the same as it has been for a good while like before the draft. Is the language different? Has anyone confirmed with agent or someone on the team he wants the extra 10 mill on the contract overall? What is the actual deal with him wanting a 5th year, it doesn't seem to actually be a great detraction with the franchise tags or open market being more saturated in QBs than ever before. Why didn't they do this contract over a year ago when he could have been offered 30 mil or less a year? Is Dak planning on skipping training camp? Will Dak sign the franchise tag and then ask for a 4 year deal at 45 million a year? Did the Cowboys ever think of letting him test the open market to see if anyone would also pay him 35 million a year? If he were to sign even a contract at 30+ would we get a 3rd round pick? If we did a sign a franchise and trade would anyone offer a 2nd round pick or better?

I have like 20 more questions but there seems to be absolutely nothing about this ever getting done, /rant

if he hasn't taken the team to at least a nfc championship game in four years the media and fans will run him out of town any way with the big contract he is going to get so just make it four years and by then uwill know whether u want him for more years
Well they will try. This fanbase tried to do it with Garrett and it took 4 years late.

It doesn’t cost the team anything to sit tight right now. They should sit tight and just cave if they can’t get the five years as long as they can franchise him again twice in 2024-2025.
I understand that. That's me as a fan wanting for this to end already. Me knowing how this works? Its going to come down close to the July 15th deadline. The best deal available will be available that day.

Latest rumor is the guarantee could be as high as $145 million on the 5 year deal of $175 million. That would far outdistance anyone else.
