The launch today brought me good memories. My Mother, Brother (both deceased...RIP) and I watched the very 1st shuttle launch together...just wish they were here today to watch America send Astronauts to space again. Well done SpaceX, Elon Musk and America...proud that Canada has contributed to the US space program...

My favourite Astronaut is a Canadian by the name of Chris Hadfield. He is a former cold war Canadian F18 fighter pilot.

He is truly a great person and I am so proud to call him a fellow Canuck. He grew up 90 minutes from me. I worked at the school board he attended and they had a school named him. Look him up...he is an amazing human.

He recorded this when he was the commander of the ISS

This is him and his brother and their Canadian pride.

I was very excited to see everything. The next few years will be exciting also with the plans that's been made. Watching the first woman step on the moon should be pretty dramatic.

I guess it takes time to debark from a dragon.
Yeah, they said it needs to pressurize / stablize the vestibule between ISS and the Dragon capsule. (Endeavor) The temperature has to come down and they need to ensure proper mixing of the environmental atmosphere. Also need to ensure the CO2 pockets are blended out.

Last I heard, they said it takes about an hour or so.

I'm just totally unqualified to be an astronaut. I'd have my seat tipped back and an arm hanging out the window.

It was crazy the amount of steps that had to be taken just to get to the point of opening the doors once the capsule was docked.

Then you had the Russian just hanging out by the door the whole time with his arms crossed. I assume he is the bouncer.
