Oh please. Cooper's slumps?

Let's see. His worst games last year.

Jets - Got hurt after 3 snaps.

Detroit. 3 catches for 38 yards. Not a great game but if you look at the rest of the stat line it is clear he opened things up for others. Both Gallup and Cobb went over 100 in that game.

NE - people on the team were shocked he even suited up. 0-0 that day on two snaps. Also, he managed to come back 4 days later and deliver 8 catches for 85 yards while still badly hurt.

Rams - 1- 19. On 2 targets. No one had more than 5 targets that day. Why? Because we ran the ball down LA's throat. Both Zeke and Pollard were over 100. We threw only 23 times.

Philly - 2-24. Dak was injured and really didn't throw anything with accuracy. This game is literally the reason why we brought in a quality backup QB.

Get a better narrative.

and so long as he's not matched up against the better CBs ala Marion Lattimore Saints, .. Darius Slay, Lions, ...Jalen Ramsey,, Stephen Gilmore
as what he faced, (and will face in future )

and note how it's always " hes' hurt " .. or " he's double teamed"..etc. lame excuses for his no show.
Call it what you like to ,.. But It's a reason why there's a 2 year escape option placed in on his recently record breaking contract renewal.

Just came back to this thread and saw this post.

Dear god. How is this even possible for vet coaches? I mean yes I can see a wr coach being more concerned about technique than scheme but to not know the scheme at all?
That part blew me away. Makes sense it seems like most of our coaches just came to collect a check

Yeh carrying bricks is dumb. You don't think a wr coach is suppose to help limit a player's drops? No wonder our coaches were so bad jerry probably thinks the same as you.

LOL ... what is it with you and this brick hatery. You'd be surprised what studs used brick handling as their training methods to elite status.

" Forget for a minute than Jerry Rice attributes his blazing speed on the football field to chasing a horse every day as a boy growing up in Mississippi. How he turned his hands into sticks of glue is an even weirder story.

Rice's father was a brick mason, and Rice spent his summers as a youngster under his dad's tutelage. He acted as the middleman between his brother on the ground and his father on the scaffolding, catching each brick his brother tossed to him and handing it up to his dad. Each time Rice dropped a brick, his father deducted a certain amount from his paycheck.
Talk about pressure

The most intriguing anecdote, though, had to be about how he got his work ethic, a long story that includes him chasing after horses and catching bricks in place of footballs. It sounds like something out of 'Rocky', really.

"I wouldn't say that," Rice said with a smile. "But there were horses you had to catch and sometimes it would take 45 minutes to an hour to run 'em down and during the summer my father would take me to work with him. He was a brick mason. My brother and I, we had developed this technique where you throw the bricks up, they were separated, and I was snatching them in the air. So, the myth about me learning to catch footballs from catching bricks, that's where it came from.

Catching bricks not seeing how long you can carry them around. Do you see the difference?

And jerry didnt invent this. He grew up having to help his dad with work as a brick layer his dad would throw him the bricks he would have to readjust his body quickly to catch the next ones. Its one of the few times not being privileged was a blessing

Because they were able to acquire a better one, of course. And for not much more money. It doesn't mean he would not have been able to come in and make some plays.

I thought you might know something....oh well. {shrug}

More than double Rush's salary. Try again.

So to recap. A coach who should not have been brought back as a lame duck coach and had to make almost total changes on his offensive staff was asked to hire new coaches. Said head coach has really no ties to any coaches, the ones he knew from his past have all already been through here and left. No coaches will want to join a lame duck staff.

So you just mix and match as best you can. It was doomed from the start.

The people responsible for this nonsense are still in charge. It was a mismanaged situation from the start and it came to a head after the vikings loss. The team tuned out the coaches from that point forward.

Why don't I feel awake yet? I slapped that cold water, but I'm not convinced on this one.

I can acknowledge the past, but I can also acknowledge the present.

Maybe you should wake up.

There! I said it!

Well, there, um, scribe ... I find it best with some strong generic Joe. With biscuits, watch the lovable Three Stoodges for 30 ninutes, then 30 minutes of "SkyKing". It works!

How a head coach allows a beef between a player and position coach to get so bad that the coach takes revenge out by sidelining the player on the most important drive of the season is beyond me.

Linehan was relaying his communiques to Dak through Moore in 2018. Play calling too.

Of course Garrett could do something. He can coach the Cowboys. But even that he failed to do so. Thus Jerry took playcalling duties away from him. Jerry, I believe wanted him to succeed. He hid many of Jason's faults. But in the end, Jason is just not a good coach.
Jason is a great coach!

Well...you got me there!

Truly appreciate you finding that one small objection! Cause 1.5 million difference in these days of 30 million contracts is certainly cap bustin'.

Cowboys fans will eat up the dumbest storylines.
Their world view revolves around the idea that Jerry is a competent football man.

Therefore, Jerry hired Garrett so Garrett must be good. Garrett hired Lal, so he must also be good.

Neither one worked out? They must have tricked poor, good-hearted Jerry, who only wants to win.

Frauds surrounding themselves with frauds and the sheep lap it up.

You aren't making any sense either. What is it you want?

Instead of just taking my overall viewpoint that Dalton is an upgrade for not a ton of money.....we're gonna sit here and argue EXACTLY how much money?

Have fun.

reminds me of the old adage "if you think you need to fire someone, you probably should have already." As much as people avoid change and conflict, letting your organization have a lame duck coach with a vagabond staff can't really be expected to work out.

maybe MM was here last year & the conversations are completely different right now.

Whether catching or carrying still.both designed for the purpose of strengthening and training.
Either you just don't seem to care for that specific method or you feel you need to try to find a source for hatery.
