I see Cee Dee as a key for Dak to get his new contract in 2021.

I know a few of us love this pick.

But there are a few of us saying we should have picked defense with our #1.

That pick Dallas may have choked on drafting him #1 instead of a defensive player #1.

It's just too early to know.

But I know one thing..we are going to have to pray the cap goes a lot high over the next couple of seasons if we are going to pay out this money to this WR corp.

To me, the trend is to score lots of points and out sprint the other team to the winner circle. Forcing other teams out of their comfort levels and having to play catchup to beat us is to our advantage.

Grinding it out and trying to play shutdown defense is not going to be our formula for success. We have tried that for 4 years now since Dak and Zeke arrived.

No dice. Teams have figured out how to defense it.

Neither is depending on Zeke and the OL to be what they have been in the past. Injuries and attrition will take its toll.

We are going to need more defensive improvement to be sure.

But I can not help but wonder and dream about scoring 40+ points a game with our offense.

You?

CeeDee was #6 on their draft chart. You don't pass on that kind of talent (legit top 10 talent) who can impact the game each play for a player at 17 who will split snaps at crowded DE position.

Couldn’t have said it any better. He was top 6 on our board and the fact he fell to us was a blessing. Let’s see what 88 can do year one

Great highlights, even better if you mute Nate Burleson. He’s one of those who loves hearing himself talk.

We drafted the most polished WR in this draft, just insert and go get some CD.
Man is the YAC.
Rare quality, but it can not be denied, he is an ankle breaker with the ball in his hands.

Anything to absolutely piss off the entire Eagles nation off is music to my ears.

Sometimes I still get a kick out of all those live videos that Eagles fans made during the draft. Seeing them cry and cuss over not getting Ceedee Lamb is going to be a throne on their side for many years to come.

Dak will get a new contract in about a month.

MM is going to be the key for this entire team.

Dallas offense will roll, 3 good WR's,great RB, good OL QB-just has to be good not great and Dallas can have the #1 offense in the whole NFL.

CeeDee was the correct choice. Even the most stout defensive person agrees with that. If they don't, they aren't serious, or need help.
Correct. I'm glad they took the common sense approach and grabbed the better football player rather than draft an inferior player in Chaisson just because he plays at a position where there's a bigger need.

It was the correct pick. Don’t know if it was McClay idea or JJ, but was the right thing to do. It wasn’t a total position of need but your 6th ranked player in the whole draft falls that far then you have to do it.

Got to be 9 or 10 teams above us that are scratching there heads. And the end of the year there will be teams kicking themselves for not grabbing him. I know the egirls are mad or at least the egirl fans are. They wanted to jump us and get him. Glad they didn’t.

Regarding Lamb's impact on Dak and the entire offense, I don't think we're going to see much of a difference compared to last year. I think Dak's numbers will be very similar to what we saw last year. Remember the offense wasn't the problem last year. The Cowboys ranked top 5 in several major offensive categories and outscored opponents by 113 points last year. Making them one of the small number of NFL teams ever to outscore their opponents by over 100 and still miss the playoffs.

I do think we'll see a bump in Dak's efficiency; especially with With Garrett's stale system finally out of the way. I think we'll see a lot more instances where the scheme gets receivers open compared to years past where it seemed as if it were mostly up to players to out-talent the man in front of them.

So I think some Dak stats such as completion percentage and YPA increase due to him not having to throw into as many tight windows. Additionally, Lamb has better hands than Cobb, so I'm expecting fewer drops from the WRs. Assuming Gallup improves his catch percentages as well.

I’m ecstatic we somehow nabbed Lamb.

Chaisson was my target but the BPA was the right choice.

I’m guessing the team wasn’t going to make the same mistake it did with Charlton over Watt. Different scenarios but you take BPA over need or better scheme fit. The latter fits with MM’s mantra of just getting the best player available and he’ll make it work.

I’ll never forgive Marenelli for his rigid brain dead approach to the DL, nor the FO for giving him too much sway on what types of players we brought in.

At some points in the year I believe we were the #1 ranked Offense. And go be a 8-8 team is just unreal.

Our ST cost us more than some realize. Starting drives deep in our own territory almost every drive. Missed FG. Little or no returns on punt or after a score. A better ST will help this team win games.

Our Defense couldnt get off the field. When we did make stops then after they punted we are starting at our own 10 or something. Lol.

These are the reasons I laugh whenever I see the talking heads on TV and radio try to diminish the impact of the coaching change in Dallas. It's as if they just look at McCarthy's final few years in Green Bay.

For one McCarthy's resume from start to finish is vastly superior to Jason Garretts.

Second as you pointed out, it's not just the head coach position that cost this team games last year. Outsiders completely gloss over Dallas upgrading their ST coaches and personnel.

Defense is still a question mark because Nolan's career has been a roller coaster, but IMO if we can be middle of the pack or better, we'll still have a solid shot to at least make the NFC title game.
