Yes. We could definitely use a new mascot.
In today's environment, however, you have to be sensitive to certain perceptions.
Mascots that may be a bad idea:
Gunny the Gunslinger
Rusty the Bull Rider.

We have the worst mascot in the league if you ask me. I remember watching a training camp practice in San Antonio and Parcells had him removed.Since the staff is new why not change it all with the fresh start.
Would any of you miss Rowdy?

He's about 25th on most lists that includes 4 unofficial so, they don't count. A few teams have adopted a Super fan so, they are not official

who are mascots designed for? Mostly the younger audience, specifically kids...and Rowdy is great for kids, i have a 3 and 6 yo that love rowdy
I never understood why grown cowboys fans complain about a mascot designed to make the game more fun for younger audiences...stop complaining about rowdy and ogle the cheerleaders already, or focus on the game....Rowdy is for the children.

LOL.. Good twist....I don't pay attention to the cheerleaders at all unless one of the players runs out of bounds and sends them arse over appetite. That's not the mode I'm in. That's for Tuesday or Wednesday when I'm bored. I get your point with the little ones but, when he shows up in a TD celebration its just embarrassing. Find middle ground for gosh sakes...
Swoops for the Eagles is just cool. Not scary and not weak. Dangit i said the word "Eagles" i must now wash my mouth out with soap and wright 1000 times "Never again"..

That alone makes me laugh....and also question the sanity of the Jones cartel for somehow staying committed to that fake plastic Rowdy mascot. I honestly don’t know a single Cowboys fan that doesn’t say Rowdy sux. I would love to see that costume burned at midfield in the season opener.
