I’m excited to see how the team will perform against better teams with McCarthy. It always felt like, under Garrett, the team as a whole, was less prepared than some of their competition.
they start off too conservative against good teams under Garrett.,
always playing catch up

But...but...but...

Is Dak a leader?

Does Dak have an accuracy problem?

Is there a better fit (team) for Dak?

Why was Dak named the best player in the NFC East over the past 5 years when he has only played 4 years?

But what about the eye test?

:facepalm::huh::facepalm:

just more stats lol.
Here is a thought, how many people were talking poorly of Dak in 2016 ?????
How many " haters" were posting here??
None I would guess, this all took the last 3 years to develop and then add in the whole longest contract debate ever, and dak wanting
to be top salary at point of signing, and year we have some people that are saying dont sign him.

It is NOT like people have been against dak since day 1.
Same thing for elliot back in 16, but this is years later and both have been meh for last 3 years.
They have good stats, but that has not translated to much season wise the last 3 years.

Me too, not just Dak the entire team.

Right. I expect to see better route combinations to help the receivers not just have to win one-on-one. I expect to see us go after mismatches. I expect to see us not just try to run Elliott between the tackles on first down when the defense is clearly expecting us to run. I wouldn't be surprised to see better use of Dak's legs and the RPO and better use of the backs in the passing game.

What players have been able to accomplish under Garrett should serve as a compliment to their skills as his system did not put them in a position to maximize their abilities. They overcame the limitations of the system.

Defensively, it was less on Garrett, but some of the same issues existed. Marinelli is a lot like Garrett in that he relies too heavily on execution and beating your man straight up instead of giving his players any kind of edge. But our defensive issues go back beyond Marinelli. We've had a poor use of resources on that side of the ball. Of course, some of that was likely because Garrett as an offensive-minded coach was more eager to build the offense than the defense.

yep, he was so good he couldn't beat the Eagles 3rd string and pickup players.

or any team with a good defense.

What a stat.

Which square thingy majig is Carson wentz in?

Ok...let's compare their best years in this category

Dak in 2019 on 3rd & 10+
24/39
61.5% completion %
2 TDs
0 INTs
109.9 rating

Wentz in 2017
33/44
76.7% completion %
5 TDs
2 INTs
137.5 rating

I'm pretty sure he would've been in the upper right square, quadrant, or anything else you want to call it, since he led the NFL in every 3rd down metric that year.

So perhaps this isn't so much of a QB stat as it is a QB/Oline/WR overall stat. That's why stats like this are pretty useless to make the case of a single player.

Just keeping it real
