AND...………...would then THAT Cowboys team be considered the best of all time?

Who do you blame more for the breakup? Jerry or Jimmy?

As much as Jerry is a @#$%^$## for pushing Jimmy out, Jimmy is a punk for leaving. How do you leave when you are going for #3?

I blame them both. Two big egos that couldn't make it work.

Do we get home field advantage in '94 if Jimmy stays and avoid having to play on that horrid field in Candlestick Park? If so, then yes we would have won 4 in a row and possibly 5 in 96.

Based on what both said during the pregame for Super XLV in Dallas with Aikman, Emmitt, Irvin and the Moose, Johnson admitted he didn't have all the power and authority those outside of the team thought he had and that really irked him. When Jones got drunk the might before the Super Bowl and made his statement that any coach would be able to get this team to the Super Bowl even Switzer who Johnson had/has problems with many believe that was just the excuse Johnson had been looking for to get out of Dallas. Johnson's ego told him he could take any team to the Super Bowl but his only chance after leaving Dallas didn't happen. After that he chose to go to TV where he wouldn't have to make good on that ego.

As far as would the Cowboys have won a 3rd straight Super Bowl, Since Johnson lost games while in Dallas there's no guarantee Johnson would have won or did any better than Switzer in that NFC championship game to go to Super Bowl XXIX.

Does Deion still get away with mugging Irvin in the championship game ?
Subsequently is Jerry still driven to pursue Deion the following year assuming we won championship game and super bowl ?
Do players get injured ? Jimmy known for extreme camps

while Jimmy is much much better at coach than Barry — the team was wound very tight .. the stars will still be partying at “The White House “
Drugs and prostitutes everywhere -
But Jimmy would allow it

no Guarantees on anything — who knows

even Jimmy said he was done regardless of what many want to say and rewrite !! It came directly from Jimmy himself ..

I mean let’s explore the Jerry and Jimmy relationship that lead to this separation -
Would that tension spill even more amongst the team ? Could it have a negative effect on the team ?
The pressure of repeating was insane per the players and coaches including Jimmy — there was a sense of relief winning the second one -/ Jimmy had his car delivered to Atlanta just so he could leave immediately after the game //
Can you imagine what the pressure would’ve been going for three peat then four peat ??!!
Insane !!

We all want to pass blame or simply guarantee oh if Jimmy was still coach we would’ve won 4 maybe more in a row — some of the players have even said the same thing — but even the coach himself questioned how plausible that would’ve been — too many factors
No one would ever know
I sure would’ve loved to see it have been tried with Jimmy at helm though

I still say SF didn't beat us, their field beat us. But yeah, if Jimmy stays we get home field and win three in a row.

Another factor would be Free Agency, we were hit the hardest. We lost leaders like Mark Stepnoski and Ken Norton not to mention role playets like Larry Brown and Alvin Harper that cashed in.

When Dieon hit free agency it was Fowl, because Nike got involved and paid gim a highet contract to go to San Fran.

4 Super Bowls were guaranted without that pass interfetence, let alone his presence on the field which allowed that defense to excel

You never know how the ball the would've bounced.
Jimmy was wearing on the players and he was getting very antsy to move on, as he always had done at very single stop.

I'd like to think they may've won 4 straight, but really we don't even know if they would've won more than the 2. Ironically, you could ask would a twist of fate or bad break have led to us not even winning that 3rd one under Barry. Seems crazy, but it's not a given.

I think Jimmy might have managed team matters much better than Switzer did after Jimmy left.

That might have resulted in at least 4, maybe 5 SB wins. Yet, it takes two to tango and co-exist.

By the end results, both Jimmy and Jerry failed to co-exist well enough to elongate their streak.

Easy to say, but probably not.

I know Jimmy had them scared, but does that alone not cause those turnovers in the first quarter in SF?

We outplayed them after that but it was too much to overcome.

Jimmy would have never allowed the Deion signing, and I'm not sure we win in 95 without it.

We would have not dropped off the map so quickly and would have been much more of a contender well into the late 90s if Jimmy stayed. That part is undeniable, but if we would have won MORE SBs, I'm not sure there. Probably about the same if we are being fair.

Does Jimmy prevent Erik Williams from wrecking his car and injuring himself? Does he prevent Emmitt from pulling his hamstring late in the regular season and not being close to 100% for the playoffs?
