I wouldn't blame Dak's injured shoulder. I'd blame the guy that didn't have the forethought to hire Dalton in case of an emergency.

Welp I will say that if the preseason games get removed altogether, we probably won't be seeing Dalton take a meaningful snap. Just imagine the board if Dak were to have a poor couple of drives in the dress rehearsal, while Dalton lights it up for a half of football. It would be insufferable here!

Emergency avoided.

And Dalton is still on the team incase of any "Other" Emergencies that may arise

If the emergency arises, I will glad Dalton is on call. Until then he will sit on the bench with no value.

I understand where you are coming from, but that logic is flawed. No one is going to give you a 1st or 2nd rd pick when they coukd have signed Dalton for the 7 Million guaranteed when he was a free agent

If a starter on a playoff team goes down, Dalton could draw a high draft pick in a trade. Has nothing to do with him not being signed as a FA.
