I'll never understand why people want to blame the 8-8 record on Dak.

Considering Garrett, the special teams and the defense some would say it's unbelievable he managed to get to 8-8 despite all those those things going against him.

Okay, the NFC East wasn't impressive last season, so what? How long is that going to last? In a year or two it will be a different division. In a few more years the NFC east will return to being one of the most competitive. They always do.

One year is a snapshot, nothing more. Want something more profound and enduring?

How about this....

The NFC East teams combine for more Super Bowl Championships than any other division.....by far.

In fact, the NFC East is the only division in which all four teams have won at least one Super Bowl.

The NFC East has 13 SB championship. The other 3 NFC divisions combine for 14 SB's

At second place is the AFC East with 9, followed by the AFC North and West with 8 each.

While true.....its not like the Jets, Bears and Eagles were much better. Then they lost to the Saints without Brees. They had a bunch of teams the caliber of those teams on their roster and still lost.

I agree but with as much weapons as he has Commanders have just as much young talent on defense and now they have one of the best DC's in the league. Just saying its not gonna be a 30 point route I don't think.

It's not exactly a secret that the Eastern Division of the National Conference isn't the slickest one around. We'll surely all do our best to improve our meek standings in 2020 but doing so in a pandemic year may not provide the healthiest climate to succeed. I don't see where things are too likely to change in the season ahead. Perhaps the years beyond 2020 might be more merciful for actually becoming relevant. Let's hope so!
